Description: Attend this two-part workshop and receive a CD-ROM with a creative, ready-made unit on the French
Résistance in World War II (media-enhanced PowerPoint plus student handouts, both provided in French and in
English). The lesson engages students in critical thinking about higher-order questions by addressing the complex issues
surrounding the rise of the Résistance and its legacy. For the afternoon session in a computer lab, participants will work
in peer groups with comparable target audiences to develop further teaching materials to accompany an online resource
that uses film clips to illustrate various aspects of the history and development of the Résistance.
