Ottawa Green Building Design Competition

 Ottawa Green Building Design Competition CaGBC Ottawa Region Chapter Eco‐Logical Green Building Competition‐ March 4th to 6th. Registration is now open for the 2011 Eco‐Logical Green Building Competition. Students in engineering, architecture and interior design from various universities and colleges will spend three days producing a comprehensive and innovative green building design for an Ottawa organization. Teams will integrate students from different post secondary institutions, programs and background experience. The conceptual design will be encouraged through a charrette or Integrated Design Process (IDP). There will also be green Building professionals from the Ottawa region available through out the competition to answer questions and help guide the students in their design. The competition will culminate with a gala dinner, complete with keynote speaker and cash prizes for the winning teams. Whether you are a masters student in the green building field, or just a student who wants to learn more, this is a great opportunity to learn about green building design, work with a team of diverse backgrounds and develop professional skills. L’inscription a débuté pour la Compétition de conception de bâtiments durables d’Ottawa. Les étudiants en génie, en architecture et en aménagement intérieur issus d’une variété d’universités et de collèges passeront trois jours à élaborer une conception compréhensive et innovatrice d’un bâtiment pour un organisme situé à Ottawa. Les équipes seront composées d’étudiants provenant d’une variété d’institutions poste‐
secondaires, de programmes et d’expériences antérieures. Le design conceptuel sera encouragé avec l’aide d’une charrette ou le Processus de design intégré. Des professionnels du bâtiment durable de la région d’Ottawa seront aussi disponibles tout au long de la compétition afin de répondre à des questions et assister les étudiants avec leurs conceptions. Le point culminant de la compétition sera le dîner‐gala, comprenant notamment un premier conférencier et la présentation de prix en argent aux gagnants. Que vous soyez un étudiant de maîtrise dans le domaine du bâtiment durable ou un étudiant intéressé à acquérir de nouvelles connaissances, voici une excellente opportunité à en apprendre d’avantage sur la conception de bâtiments durables, à travailler avec des gens provenant de différentes formations ainsi qu’à développer des habiletés professionnelles.
