Elementary School (bilingual program)
Senior School
The Study’s bilingual programme begins in Kindergarten.
In the Senior School, students follow an enriched programme of studies.
Students have two homeroom teachers and spend approximately half the day in English and the other
half in French. The goal is to establish fluency and accuracy in both languages by offering mother
tongue programmes in both English and French. The curriculum is organized into themes and
subjects are interrelated through learning activities with a central focus of interest. Learning situations
are process-oriented with the intention of encouraging the children to explore, experiment, solve
problems and absorb new ideas and concepts. Computer technology is widely integrated at all levels
through the use of class sets of laptops and/or iPads.
At each grade level, students take enriched French language courses and are offered at least two other
subjects in French. A compulsory third language option (Mandarin or Spanish) is also a curriculum
requirement for grades 7 and 8. Each student is provided with her own laptop to take advantage of
technological resources to enrich her learning.
À l’école secondaire, les élèves suivent un programme d’études enrichi.
L’école The Study offre le programme bilingue dès la maternelle.
Le mandat de l’école est de créer un environnement propice à l’acquisition des deux langues
maternelles simultanément. Les élèves rencontrent les deux enseignants dans la journée. Une demijournée se déroule en français et l’autre en anglais. À notre école la mission de la classe de maternelle
est fondée sur une orientation développementale, sur l’apprentissage par le jeu et sur une pratique
respectueuse du rythme et du style d’apprentissage de l’enfant. Les filles explorent, expériementent,
solutionnent des problèmes et apprennent de nouveaux concepts. L’usage de la technologie est
grandement répandue à tous les niveaux. Les élèves utilisent soit des ordinateurs portables, soit des
iPads.


Les élèves de l’école primaire ont l’occasion de participer à un grand choix d’activités parascolaires, ce
qui leur permet d'enrichir leur expérience et de participer à la vie de l’école.

À chaque niveau, les élèves suivent des cours de français enrichi, et sont offertes au moins deux autres
matières en français. L’option obligatoire d’une troisième langue est aussi une exigence du programme
pour le secondaire I et II. Chaque élève dispose de son propre ordinateur portable sans fil pour
profiter des resources technologiques pour enrichir son apprentissage.
