POST-DOC POSITION (1 year from Oct/Nov 2015) Mechanism
POST-DOC POSITION (1 year from Oct/Nov 2015) Mechanism investigations in catalysed polyurethane synthesis Description This project takes place in the team "Chemistry and Processes of Polymerization" of the C2P2 laboratory in Villeurbanne (C2P2: Chemistry Catalysis Polymer Processes - UMR 5265 CNRS - CPE Lyon – University Claude Bernard; http://www.c2p2-cpe.com/) under the supervision of Dr Vincent MONTEIL and Dr Jean RAYNAUD. The project’s framework is collaboration between C2P2 laboratory and an industrial partner, BOSTIK (ARKEMA Group), which is a leading global adhesive specialist in industrial manufacturing, construction and consumer markets. The multidisciplinary project aims at studying mechanisms involved in the synthesis of linear or cross-linked polyurethanes. These reactions require the presence of catalysts (metallic and/or organic). The project will include mechanistic investigations, kinetic studies for instance, using in situ spectroscopy in particular. Characterizations of catalysts and of polymer properties (structure/microstructure from NMR, Molecular weight from SEC, thermal properties from DSC…) will be important aspects of the project. Qualifications Applicants should have a PhD in Chemistry. Familiarity with Polymer synthesis and characterisation would be considered an asset. HOW TO APPLY CVs should be sent to: Dr. MONTEIL Vincent ([email protected]) Dr. RAYNAUD Jean ([email protected])
