Objectif spécifique :
Etre capable de comprendre, d’interpréter et d’exploiter des documents de différentes natures
sur l’historique d’un évènement particulier.
Organisation / Matériel:
Deux documents centraux: « The previous World Cups by FIFA ™ »
« Flags of the countries where previous World Cups have taken place »
Préalable :
Cette séance permet un réinvestissement croisé de plusieurs notions, expressions idiomatiques
et vocabulaire préalablement abordés lors d’un cours d’anglais :
Vocabulaire sur les couleurs.
Les nombres (jusqu’à 100).
Years, decades.
Déroulement :
1- Révision rapide de l’ensemble du vocabulaire sur les couleurs, les nombres (à l’aide de
flashcards (voir document ci-joint).
2- Les élèves sont par groupe de deux. Ils ont en leur possession les deux documents
principaux (flags-previous World Cups by FIFA). Ils observent seuls les documents. Cette
phase ne doit pas excéder 5 minutes.
3- Discussion collective sur le contenu des documents. Les questions sont posées en anglais et
les élèves doivent y répondre en anglais (exemple : « Where did the World Cup take place in
1950? »).
4- Sur la base des documents, les élèves par groupe de 4 doivent concevoir un petit quiz en
anglais (des exemples de questions à poser seront préalablement donnés).
Une fois que chaque groupe a composé son quiz (3 questions par groupe), ils sont échangés
entre les groupes (l’échange doit être exclusivement oral). On compte ensuite les points.
5- Les fiches de travail sont ensuite distribuées. En fonction du temps, pour la première
séance, une seule fiche sera donnée. Les autres séances (2 au maximum) pourront être
consacrées à un réinvestissement écrit sur la base de ces fiches.
