VOLLEYBALL CANADA Invites Applications for… 2013 Men’s National Junior Team Assistant coaching positions 2013 Men's National Junior Team Information This program will train in Gatineau, QC and Hamilton, ON from June 10 to August 14. Identification and selection of athletes will be done through an OPEN camp from Thursday, May 2 to Tuesday, May 7. The purpose of the National Junior Team is to identify, select and train a group of athletes who have potential or demonstrated international skill and experience to represent Canada at the elite level, more specifically at the 2013 FIVB U21 World Championships to be held from August 22-­‐31 in Turkey Assistant Coaching Position Opportunities (Head Coach: Dave Preston) Two assistant coaches' positions are available. Coaches will work under the direction of the National Junior Team Head Coach, the National Team Head Coach and the High Performance Director. Coach Role and Responsibilities: Basic coaching responsibilities to include (but not limited to): Ø Assist in talent identification and selection of athletes at selection camp Ø Assist in developing the team training plan Ø Assist in the training of the B team in accordance to Team Canada philosophy, policies and plans. Ø Post program evaluation Desired Qualifications: Ø Evidence of sufficient expertise and experience essential to success at the international level. Ø Level III NCCP Certification is desired. Ø Preference will be given to coaches currently affiliated to a CIS or CCAA Volleyball program. Ø Knowledge of Canada's two official languages is an asset. Compensation: Coaches will receive reimbursement for their expenses as well as an honorarium. The amount of the honorarium will be dependent on program budgets as well as previous experience and qualifications at the national and international level. VOLLEYBALL CANADA / TEAM CANADA VOLLEYBALL Accepte les mises en candidature pour les postes suivants: Entraîneurs adjoints de l'équipe nationale masculine junior 2013 Équipe nationale masculine junior 2013 -­‐ Information Cette équipe s'entraînera à Gatineau et Hamilton du 10 juin au 14 août 2013. Les athlètes seront sélectionnés suite à un camp de sélection OUVERT qui se tiendra du 2 au 7 mai. L'objectif de l'équipe nationale junior est d'identifier et de regrouper un groupe d'athlètes ayant le potentiel pour représenter le Canada en compétition internationale, plus spécifiquement au championnat du monde U21 qui aura lieu du 22 au 31 août à Ankara/Izmir, Turquie. Postes d'entraineur adjoints disponibles (entraineur chef: Dave Preston) Deux postes d’entraîneurs adjoints sont disponibles. Les entraîneurs seront sous la supervision de l'entraineur chef, de l'entraineur national et du Directeur de haute performance. Rôles et responsabilités: Ø Soutien à l'entraîneur national en matière d'identification et de sélection des athlètes Ø Soutien à l'entraîneur national en matière de d'élaboration du plan saisonnier d’entraînement Ø Soutien à la gestion du programme d'entraînement, en concordance avec la philosophie et les politiques des programmes nationaux Ø Évaluation finale du programme Compétences et qualifications recherchées: Ø Démonstration d'expertise et d'expérience nécessaire au succès en volleyball international. Ø Certification PNCE minimale désirée : Niveau 3 certifié. Ø La priorité d’embauche sera accordée aux entraineurs qui font présentement partie du SIC ou de l'ACSC. Ø La capacité de communiquer dans les deux langues officielles est un atout. Rémunération: Les entraîneurs recevront un honoraire et leurs dépenses seront remboursées, en fonction du budget global de l’équipe ainsi que du niveau d’expérience des candidats.
