- les commentaires jugés les plus utiles pour une étude « standard » sont ceux de Cogan et Tadmor, Gray,
Montgomery et Gehman ;
- certains commentaires se concentrent sur la critique textuelle : Burney, Stade et Scwhally :
- le commentaire classique pour la critique rédactionnelle selon le modèle de Göttingen est celui de Würthwein.
