Jodie-Lynn Waddilove

Jodie-Lynn Waddilove, 29, is an Anishnabe (Ojibway) and Lenni
Lenape (Delaware) lawyer from Munsee-Delaware Nation in Ontario.
She has attended schools in Canada and overseas and received
numerous awards, including being named by Maclean’s Magazine
as “One of Canada’s Top 100 Under 30” to watch in the new
millennium in 2000.
Jodie-Lynn has worked for many organizations including: the
Parliament of Canada – House of Commons, Royal Canadian Mounted
Police, Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, and the London City
Police. Recently, she was a junior lawyer with the Ipperwash Inquiry.
Jodie-Lynn is an abstainer from drugs and alcohol. She promotes
a proud and healthy lifestyle. She is a jingle dress dancer and is
learning to speak Ojibway. “The Red path of our people is well
travelled with broken promises and lost dreams, hopefully with
my journey I will help to make it a better path to follow for the
next generation — the 7th generation.”
