THE MOVIE
LE FILM In the middle of the sunny countryside, 10-year-old Selma and her big
brother Jonas set out by bike on a journey with a very personal goal in
mind. Taking them further and further away from home, their mission
pushes them beyond their limits and into the real world, where they
must face the fact that some things in life can’t be changed.
Dans une campagne baignée de lumière, Selma, 10 ans, et son grand
frère Jonas parcourent les routes en vélo dans un but très précis. Les
éloignant de plus en plus de chez eux, leur mission les poussera à
surmonter les limites du monde de l’enfance, et surtout à accepter
que la réalité n’est pas toujours celle qu’on se crée.
MARILYN COOKE — DIRECTOR
MARILYN COOKE — RÉALISATRICE Marilyn Cooke has worked in film and media since she graduated
from Université du Québec à Montréal’s film program in 2007. Since
then, she has written several short film scripts and was a finalist in
screenwriting contest Sprint for Your Script in 2010. The short film
Nothing But Us is her directorial debut.
Marilyn Cooke travaille dans le milieu du cinéma et des médias depuis
la fin de ses études de cinéma à l’Université du Québec à Montréal
en 2007. Depuis, elle a écrit plusieurs scénarios de courts-métrages
et a participé comme finaliste au concours de scénarisation Cours
écrire ton court en 2010. Envers et contre nous est son premier courtmétrage en tant que réalisatrice.
