VMC Console The Evolution AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS A FEELING OF COMFORT Unbeatable air quality The VMC range benefits from AIR4LIFE, Carrier’s innovative high-efficiency purification system. It is much more effective than traditional activated carbon filters, and twice as fast, and because it contains a titanium catalytic filter, it is regenerable in sunlight. Pre-filter – removes dust and pollen particles suspended in the atmosphere Electrostatic filter – traps spores, bacteria and fine dust Titanium photocatalytic filter – completes the purification process by breaking down pollutants and bacteria, eliminating smoke, food, and other odours down to 0.01 microns. For extra comfort, the VMC Console range also features an optional fresh air intake, providing the occupant with a constant source of fresh air. Well-being depends on air distribution The motorised louvre is another important feature of the VMC Console range. This allows air flow to be directed to suit the room and the preference of the occupant. New condensing unit The new condensing unit is a benchmark for energy efficiency and ease of installation and service. Designed to reduce installation time, features include: only four wires between indoor and outdoor units, five screws to access all components and pre-charged up to 10 m. One single board includes standard and business features and is fully compatible with current legislation. For installation safety, sensorless defrost technology has been developed which reduces the number of wires in heat pump systems. Less wires means reduced risk of faulty electrical connections, the primary cause of permanent damage to the Prime board, translating into longer life and reliability for key components. QUICK AND EASY INSTALLATION Installation of the VMC Console is simple – because the unit operates on R410A, it is smaller and lighter than before. On the largest unit, maximum pipe thickness is only 13mm, allowing the installer to bend pipes manually. What’s more, the special bracket concept eliminates the need for the usual kit, making under-ceiling fitting easier than ever. Maintenance is just as easy via total accessibility via the grille. Opening the grille provides immediate access to the fans, filters, pump, pipe vane and control box, with no need to remove the whole front panel. New discreet design The entire VMC product line has been designed to incorporate Carrier’s special design concept for condensate discharge, whenever installed as under-ceiling. Both filter and grille are pre-cut, and an easily removable cover on the grille allows the condensate pipe to exit from the grille to the wall. A plastic cover then fits perfectly over the condensate pipe, resulting in a discreet installation. It can be installed as an under-ceiling unit or as a low wall unit, at only 1 metre in length, it is ideal for placing underneath a window. These units can be applied for light residential or commercial premises. THE NEW DIMENSION OF AIR CONDITIONING The new Carrier Console range has been designed not only to be slim and stylish, but also to give high performance. The system has been optimised for use with R410A, a zero ozone depleting refrigerant that gives high performance, reduces heat exchange volumes and ensures high reliability. STYLISH DESIGN The new system represents something of a real breakthrough in design terms. It is compact, lightweight and available in three chassis sizes. Selectable in either cooling only or heat pump, this system is a winner by any standards.
