SUMMER CAMP COUNSELLOR

The Hermitage Club, a private club located on Lake Memphremagog 3 kilometers from Magog, is
looking for a General Counsellor for their Junior Program.
!
Under the direction of the Head Counsellor, the General Counsellor will be responsible for:
•
supervising groups of children between the ages of 5 and 14 in different activities including canoing,
kayaking, team games, sports and arts & crafts
•
supervise groups of children when practicing sports such as sailing, tennis, golf and swimming
•
promote development and learning in compliance with procedures and safety standards.
•
participate in the preparation, organization and realization of fun summer activities and theme days.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Experience working with children ages 5 - 14;
Experience, skills and interest in outdoor activities;
Have an outgoing and dynamic personality, creativity and team spirit;
Previous counsellor experience would be a bonus;
CPR and First Aid certificate;
Bilingual in French and English;
18 years of age or older
Sailing experience or Lifeguarding credentials would be a bonus.

DURATION :
Available to work full time for 6 weeks - June to August 2016. ( TBD )
Time: Monday to Friday, some evenings and weekends (TBA)
SALARY:
From 2500$ - 3000$ (room and board included for duration of contract).

! Le club
Hermitage, un club privé situé aux abord du lac Memphrémagog à 3 km de Magog,
recherche un/une moniteur(trice) pour son Programme des jeunes.
!
Sous la supervision du Coordonnateur en chef, le/la moniteur/trice devra:
•
animer des groupes d’enfants âgés entre 5 et 14 ans dans les différentes activités du camp telles que
canoë, kayak, jeux d’équipes et arts plastiques;
•
•
superviser les groupes d’enfants lors de la pratique des sports tels que la voile, tennis, golf, natation;
favoriser le développement et l’apprentissage dans le respect des procédures et des normes de sécurité
en vigueur;
participer à l’élaboration, l’organisation et la réalisation des thématiques estivales.

RECHERCHÉES
:
Expérience pertinente auprès des jeunes de 5 à 14 ans;
Expérience, aptitudes et intérêt marqué pour les activités de plein air;
Être créatif, dynamique, autonome et avoir un bon esprit d'équipe;
Formation ou expérience en animation souhaitable;
Certificat de RCR et secourisme;
Être bilingue, anglais et français;
Avoir au minimum 18 ans;
Être en mesure de se déplacer sur les lieux de travail;
Expérience avec voiliers serait souhaitable;
Certification LTS Vert ou Niveau Bleu serait souhaitable.

DU CONTRAT
:
Disponible pour travailler à temps complet pour 6 semaines du __ juin au __ août 2016. (À déterminer)
Heure : lundi au vendredi, certains soirs et une fin de semaine (à déterminer)
CONDITIONS
SALARIALES
:
Entre 2500$ et 3000$ (hébergement et repas inclus pour la durée du contrat).
