Visitors to the geographical centre of South America will not only find cattle farms and light
industry but also the Arena Pantanal. It was built in 2010, in Cuiabá, a city with a population of
only 554,000 and hence the smallest playing venue.
The stadium can accommodate almost 43,000 people but the modular structure allows for the
upper parts to be dismantled such that the capacity will eventually be smaller.
