Denis Maillet Professor Email: [email protected] Research LEMTA - Université de Lorraine – CNRS - UMR 7563 2, avenue de la forêt de haye, 54504 Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy cedex, France Current Research Interests Since my Doctorat d'état (1991) I have worked on modelling and thermal characterization of solid materials (multilayer materials: P18, P22, P30, P32, see list of works below, semi transparent materials: P21, P23, P27) with applications to non destructive testing through infrared thermography and to cooling of electronic boards. These works mostly use analytical modelling (integral transformations and thermal quadrupoles: B1) associated to inverse techniques. They are applied to diffusive models aimed at parameter estimation or at wall heat flux estimation. In the last few years I have promoted or taken part to various studies requiring the development and the application of original inverse techniques (P19, P20, P31, P35, P44), not only in diffusive heat transfer (liquid jet or droplets impingement on a hot metal sample: P37, P38, P39, P40, P42, P46, P47), but also to transfers with an additional flow term (advection-diffusion), or to mass transfer (Fick): - research contracts with Institut Français du Pétrole and EdF (thermal dispersion in porous media: P26, P33, P45, P48), - cooperation with Institut National de Recherche et de Sécurité (pollutant cartography and inverse convection in ventilation: P36, P49), - fundamental studies in conjugated heat transfer between a fluid flow and the wall (P17, P24, P28, P43) applied to minifluidics. I have also worked on the modelling of coupled transfers inside fuel cells (P29, P34, P41).
