Carte grise
franaise - Excellent presentation - Version 289 GT, numerous options - Lots of upgrades This convertible Mustang is
particularly attractive for several reasons. Firstly, it is equipped with the V8 289 ci engine (4 736 cm3), the largest
available, producing 225 bhp, which has been overhauled and improved. According to an inspection report dated
March 2010, this work included fitting high compression pistons, a sportier cam, Edelbrock cylinder head, roller
rocker arms, rebored block, high capacity oil pump, advanced ignition and improved cooling system...The steering is
new, as is the front axle, the brakes and the air-conditioning. The hood has been lined and a front tower strut bar has
been added. The " Aqua Blue " bodywork has also been refurbished and is in excellent condition, complete with all
the chrome work, hub caps and badges correct for this model. Fitted with an automatic gearbox, the car has the " GT
Equipment Package" which includes fog lamps, chrome twin-exhaust and a dashboard with five dials, plus the two
from the " rally-pac " option. Other period options include air-conditioning, central console and stunning stainless
steel wire wheels in chrome. In 2006 this car was bought from the Pacific Garage, Vernon, who then undertook a
70,000 restoration of the car, as detailed by the bundle of invoices in the file. In exceptional condition, this Mustang is
particularly desirable, having the 289 engine and being convertible. With various extra options, the car combines a
seductive appearance with an exciting performance. Moreover, this is one of the first generation Mustangs, the
original " pony-car " a svelte and sporty creation by Lee Iacocca. This version is particularly coveted by enthusiasts.
