Volontariat long terme

Le Service Civil International-France propose des projets de volontariat long terme à ses adhérents.
Notre association n'est pas riche et nous demandons donc des frais d'inscription (adhésion) aux volontaires (135
euros).
Cela nous permet de mener à bien le projet en vous logeant, assurant et en vous donnant de l'argent de poche...
Le transport vers votre lieu de volontariat reste à votre charge.
Différents statuts existent (« Volontaire Long Terme » (VLT), Service Civil Volontaire, Service Volontaire
Européen...). Notre association ne propose pas à ce jour de projet SVE, notre accréditation est en cours.
Il est recommandé d'avoir une première expérience de volontariat (chantier, …) avant de partir sur une longue
période.
Une fiche de candidature vous demandant d'expliciter vos motivations et raisons pour votre engagement au sein
du SCI sera à remplir en anglais avant de passer un entretien avec l'un de nos membres permanents.
La décision finale reviendra cependant toujours à notre branche d'accueil (par ex. au SCI Grande-Bretagne
pour un projet en Angleterre).

Project description:
A unique community in a rural village in the mountains, 200 km west of Tokyo.It was established by Ms.Takako
Iwatani in 2004. Over 20 people including children lead a self-sustaining, environmentally-friendly life. The first SCI
workcamp was held in August, 2009.
Work description:Organic farming: weeding in the rice and vegetable fields, cutting thatch, making non-tilled soil,etc.
Day-to-day housekeeping work
Requirements: Motivated to learn organic farming, live a big family-like life and respect environmentally susutainable
life-style.
Food: Mostly vegitarian food is provided
Accommodation: A 100-year-old big farm house. Sometimes share a room with a volunteer from WWOOF.
Pocket money: 10,000 yen (about 80 euros)/month plus 2 roundtrips by bus between Tokyo and the project
Insurance: SCI Insurance
Visa: Basically, 3 months' tourist visa only due to the government visa policy. However, English, Irish, German, Swiss,
Austrian and Mexican are probably possible to extend another 3 months according to the bilateral agreement between
the governments.

Project description:
Innisfree village is a community for adults with mental disabilities. The garden workstation manages a CSA
from April to September that requires a garden intern.
Work description:
The intern will be responsible for harvesting and planting organically grown produce, natural weed and pest
control, and the general well-being of the individuals who benefit the most from our project.
Requirements:
Applicant must be flexible to long hours at times that will fluctuate with the season.

Pocket money:
The intern will receive a monthly stipend comparable to that of a volunteer in our village.
