Assessments
Students are assessed in a variety of ways including, but not limited to,
projects, oral and multi-media presentations, vocabulary and grammar
quizzes, and formal compositions. On a daily basis, students are assessed
for their use of French in the classroom. Points are earned through
participation and lost if English is used. In addition to the formal
compositions listed, students will also keep a weekly journal in which they
reflect on topics related to each unit’s theme. Sometimes the journal entries
are in response to a teacher-assigned writing prompt; most often, however,
these are derived from students’ personal contemplations on the topic at
hand.
