il est possible d’enlever prudemment une couche mince
de la surface de l’espace à colorer. Après l’application et
polymérisation des couleurs la substance manquante doit
être remplacée par de la résine transparente, durcissant à
la lumière. Après la polymérisation la surface sera traitée
et polissée.

Productbeschrijving
Naar aanleiding van de realistische kleurmogelijkheden in
de porseleintechniek baseert de „Lightpaint On Set“
zich op het idee een kleur aan te brengen op het oppervlak van kunststof. Dit inkleuren maakt karakterisering en
individualisering van kunststoffen in de kroon en brugwerk
techniek van confectie acryl tanden en voor prothesen in
de partie le en totale prothetiek. Voorts is kleuraanpassing
van kwalitatief en natuurlijk ogende blijvende protheses
onbeperkt mogelijk. Door originele Müterthies-porselein
kleur tonen worden authentieke kleuren verkregen, en
haast geen artistieke beperkingen. De set is met 3 gingiva-kleuren om tandvlees te kunnen kleuren kompleet. De
kleuren van de Lightpaint On Set polymeriseren door
de combinatie van 2 op elkaar afgestemde uithardingssystemen. De autopolymerisatie wordt door het mengen
van poeder en vloeistof (Liquid) ingeleid.
Door lichtpolymerisatie met een golflengte van 350-500mm
zorgt voor de eindpolymerisatie. Dit dubbele uithardingssysteem verzekert een lange verwerkingstijd en zorgt tevens
de doorharding bij zeer opake kleurmengingen.

Verwerking
Voorbereiding van het oppervlak.
Het oppervlak wat beschilderd moet worden eerst schoonmaken van stof en vet. Het verdient aanbeveling het oppervlak te ruwen m.b.v. een zandstraler met een straalmiddel
van 50-100 μm. Hierdoor verbetert de bevochtiging en de
hechting van de kleuren.
Tip
Om een blijvende abrasie-vaste inkleuring te realiseren, kan
een dunne laag van het oppervlak van het te kleuren gedeelte
voorzichtig verwijderd worden. Na opbrengen en polymerisatie van de kleuren wordt de verwijderde substantie door
transparante, lichtuithardende kunststof vervangen. Na de
polymerisatie wordt het oppervlak behandeld en gepolijst.
Aanmengen van kleuren
Kleurpoeder:1: wit, 2: vanille, 3: kaki, 4: maisgeel,
5: oranje, 6: donker oranje, 7: kastanje, 8: duifblauw, 9:
zwart, 10: bordeaux, 11: roze, 12: violet

Meng de gekozen kleur met Liquid op een meng-plateau.
Door de variatie van het mengsel kan de intensiteit van
waterig-transparant tot dekkend opaak worden verkregen. Voor het opbrengen wordt penseel 00 aanbevolen.
Indien gewenst kan een tussentijdse polymerisatie van de
individuele kleurlagen worden uitgevoerd in een daarvoor
geschikt lichtuithardingsapparaat. Wanneer het werk voor
langere tijd onderbroken wordt, adviseren wij u met een
donkere deksel het mengtableau af te dekken om voortijdig
uitdrogen van het mengsel te vermijden. Een ingedroogde
kleur kan zonder kwaliteitsverlies met Liquid behandeld
worden. Wanneer „de beschildering“ klaar is moet voor dat
een verzegeling (bv. met Surface) met penseel sterkte 3
opgebracht wordt, tussentijds gepolymeriseerd worden.
De verzegeling met Surface dient voor het gladmaken en
homogeniseren van het oppervlak en verbetert de houdbaarheid van de kleuring in het mondmilieu.
De applicatie van Surface kan indien gewenst ook met
een mespunt of een air-brush pistool aangebracht worden.
Hierdoor verkrijgt men een gelijkmatige laagdikte en verhoogede breukweerstand.

Descrizione del prodotto
Partendo dalle possibilità di colori realistici nella tecnica
della ceramica, il set Lightpaint On si basa sul concetto di
consentire una colorazione in superficie delle resine. Questa
colorazione serve alla caratterizzazione e all’individuazione
dei rivestimenti nella tecnica c+b, dei denti in resina e
delle protesi nella protesica parziale e totale. Inoltre e’
possibile , senza limitazioni, l’adattamento del colore nei
provvisori a lunga durata, qualitativamente più pregiati e
con un aspetto naturale.
Grazie alle tonalità originali Mueterthies si ottengono delle
colorazioni altamente realistiche; non esistono praticamente
limiti alle sfumature possibili. Il set è completato da tre
colori per la gengiva, che consentono la colorazione di parti
di gengiva. I colori del set Lightpaint On polimerizzano
mediante la combinazione di due sistemi armonizzati l’uno
con l’altro. L’autopolimerizzazione avviene mediante la miscelazione di polvere e liquido (Liquid). La polimerizzazione
finale viene avviata e conclusa tramite la fotopolimerizzazione con una lunghezza d’onde di 350-500 nm. Questo
sistema di duplice polimerizzazione garantisce un ampio
campo di applicazione e consente anche la polimerizzazione
di miscele colorate molto opache.

Preparazione della superficie
Innanzitutto la superficie da caratterizzare deve essere accuratamente pulita e sgrassata. Si raccomanda l’irruvidimento
della superficie mediante sabbiatura con materiale di grana
50-100 um. Questo procedimento migliora l’impiego e la
polimerizzazione dei colori.
Suggerimenti
Per realizzare una colorazione duratura e resistente, si può
asportare uno strato sottile della superficie della zona da
colorare. Dopo l’applicazione e la polimerizzazione dei colori
la sostanza mancante viene integrata da resina trasparente
fotopolimerizzante. Dopo la polimerizzazione, la superficie
viene lavorata e levigata.

Le polveri selezionate vengono miscelate sul piatto di
miscelazione con Liquid. Variando la miscela si varia
l’intensità da trasparente-acqua a opaco-coprente. Per
l’applicazione raccomandiamo di usare pennellini della
grandezza OO. Ogni strato di colore può essere nel frattempo polimerizzato in un apparecchio di fotopolimerizzazione.
Nel caso di lunghe pause di lavoro si raccomanda di proteggere il piatto di miscelazione con il coperchio schermato per
evitare che la miscela si essicchi prematuramente. Un colore
essiccato può essere diluito con Liquid, senza peraltro
pregiudicarne la qualità. Dopo aver terminato la caratterizzazione, prima di applicare ad esempio Surface, mediante
un pennellino di grandezza 3, si deve effettuare una fotopolimerizzazione. L’impiego di Surface serve a rendere la
superficie ben levigata e omogenea e aumenta la tenuta del
colore all’interno del cavo orale. L’applicazione di Surface
può essere effettuata a scelta con la punta di un coltello o
con una pistola ad aria. Questo metodo consente di ottenere uno spessore uniforme del materiale e garantisce risultati
esenti da fratture (Test sperimentali sulla ruvidità di superfici
protesiche laccate - ZWR - Edizione 1-2/1997).
Tempi di lavoro
Il procedimento, per ottenere la miscela pronta, dura circa
10 minuti. Diluendo con Liquid, questo tempo può essere
prolungato.

Materialbeschreibung
Ausgehend von den realistischen Farbgestaltungsmöglichkeiten in der Keramiktechnik basiert das Lightpaint
On Set auf dem Gedanken, eine Oberflächenbemalung
für Kunststoffe zu ermöglichen. Diese Bemalung dient der
Charakterisierung und Individualisierung von Verblendungen in der K&B-Technik, von konfektinonierten Kunststoffzähnen und von Prothesenanteilen in der partiellen und
totalen Prothetik. Des weiteren ist die farbliche Anpassung
qualitativ hochwertiger und natürlich aussehender LangzeitProvisorien uneingeschränkt möglich.
Durch die original Müterthies-Keramikfarbtöne resultieren
höchst authentische Kolorierungen; den künstlerischen
Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten sind praktisch keine Grenzen
gesetzt. Ergänzt wird das Set durch drei Gingiva-Farbtöne,
die die Bemalung von Zahnfleischpartien erlauben.
Die Farben des Lightpaint On Sets polymerisieren durch
die Kombination zweier aufeinander abgestimmter Härtersysteme. Die Autopolymerisation wird durch das Vermischen
von Pulver und Flüssigkeit (Liquid) eingeleitet. Durch Lichtpolymerisation mit einer Wellenlänge von 350 - 500 nm
wird die Endpolymerisation angeregt und abgeschlossen.
Dieses Dual-Härtersystem gewährleistet eine lange Verarbeitungsbreite und sichert auch die Durchhärtung sehr
opaker Farbmischungen.

Vorbereitung der Oberfläche
Zunächst muss die zu bemalende Fläche sorgfältig von
Staub und Fett gereinigt werden. Empfehlenswert ist das
Auftauen der Oberfläche mit Hilfe eines Sandstrahlers und
eines Strahlmittels der Korngröße 50 - 100 µm. Dieses
Vorgehen verbessert die Benetzung und die retentive
Haftung der Farben.
Hinweis
Um eine dauerhafte, abriebfeste Farbgebung zu realisieren,
kann eine dünne Schicht der Oberfläche des zu kolorierenden Bereiches vorsichtig abgetragen werden. Nach Auftrag
und Polymerisation der Farben wird die fehlende Substanz
durch transparenten, lichthärtenden Kunststoff ergänzt.
Nach der Polymerisation wird die Fläche bearbeitet und
poliert.

Die ausgewählten Farbpulver werden auf der Anmischpalette mit Liquid angerührt. Durch die Variation der
Mischung kann die Intensität von wässrig-transparent
bis deckend-opak realisiert werden. Zum Auftragen
empfehlen wir die Pinselstärke 00. Jeder Farbauftrag
kann in einem geeigneten Lichtpolymerisationsgerät
zwischenpolymerisiert werden. Bei längeren Arbeitspausen
empfiehlt sich die Abdeckung der Anmischpalette mit
dem lichtdichten Deckel, um vorzeitiges Eintrocknen der
Mischung zu vermeiden. Eine eingetrocknete Farbe kann
ohne Qualitätsverlust mit Liquid aufbereitet werden.
Nach Abschluss der Bemalung muss, bevor eine
Versiegelung (z.B. mit Surface) mit Pinselstärke 3 aufgetragen wird, zwischenpolymerisiert werden.
Die Versiegelung mit Surface dient der Glättung und
Homogenisierung der Oberfläche und steigert die
Haltbarkeit der Kolorierung im Mundmilieu.
Die Applikation von Surface kann wahlweise auch
mit einer Messerspitze oder mit einer Air-Brush-Pistole
vorgenommen werden. Dieses führt zu einer gleichmäßigen Materialstärke und gewährleistet bruchsichere Ergebnisse. (Experimentelle Untersuchungen

Verarbeitungszeiten
Die Verarbeitungsbreite der fertigen Farbmischung beträgt
ca. 10 Minuten. Durch Verdünnung mit Liquid kann die

Product Description
Proceeding on the realistic possibilities offered by colour
styling and dental ceramics, the purpose of the Lightpaint
On set is the realisation of a surface painting of resin
materials. This painting serves the characterisation and
individualisation of the veneers in the c & b technique;
including manufactured synthetic teeth and denture parts
in the partial and total prosthodontics. Furthermore the
colour adaptation of high-quality and natural looking long
term dentures is possible without restrictions.
The original Müterthies ceramic colours result in extremely authentic colourings; there are virtually no limits for
the artistical possibilities of styling. The set is completed
by three gingiva-shades which allow the painting of the
respective gum part.
The colours of the Lightpaint On set polymerise by the
combination of two harmonising hardening systems. The
auto-polymerisation system is initiated by mixing powder with a fluid (Liquid). The final light-polymerisation is
incensed and carried out by light rays of a wave length
of 350 - 500 nm. This dual hardening system ensures a
long processing time and a curing of even very opaque
colour mixtures.

Preparation of the surface
The surface which is to be painted must be cleaned of
dust and grease. We recommend the roughening of the
surface with sand-blasting with corundum (grain size 50
or 100 μm) in order to improve the moisture and the
retentive adhesion.
Hint
In order to realise a durable, abrasion resistant colour-ing a
thin layer of the Surface of the area which is to be painted
may be removed carefully. After having applied and polymerised the colours the missing substance is to be replaced
by transparent, light-curing resin. After the polymerisation
the Surface is to be treated and pol-ished.
Mixing of the colours
Colour powders: 1: white, 2: vanilla, 3: khaki, 4: corncoloured; 5: orange, 6: dark orange, 7: chestnut, 8: doveblue, 9: black, 10: bordeaux, 11: rose, 12: violet
Keep away from children!
Only for the a. m. field of application.
Mix the respective colour powder on a mixing plate with
Liquid. By a variation of the mixture, an intensity of the
colour from watery-transparent to opaque can be achieved.
For application we recommend brush size 00. If required,
an interim curing of the individual colour layers may be
carried out in a suitable light-unit. When interrupting the
work for longer periods, we recommend to cover the mixing
palette with the light-impermeable lid in order to avoid a
premature drying of the mixture. Dried in colours can be
treated with Liquid without affecting the quality.
After finishing of the painting - before the sealing (e. g. with
Surface) is applied with a brush size 3, polymer-isation
must be carried out.
The sealing with Surface is important, as Surface smoothes and homogenises the surface and increases durability
of the colour in the region of the mouth.
The application of Surface is also possible with the tip of
a knife or an air-brush-gun. This leads to an even material
strength and ensures break-resistant results. (Experimental

Considérant des possibilités de couleurs réaliste dans
la technique céramique le Lightpaint On Set base sur
l’intention de permettre une peinture de la surface des
résines. Cette peinture sert à la caractérisation et individualisation des facettes dans la technique C&B, des dents de
résine confectionnées et des parties des prothèses partielles
et totales. Grâce aux couleurs céramiques - Müterthies
originaux, on obtient des colorations de haute authenticité;
pratiquement, il n’y a pas de limites pour des créations
artificielles.
Le set est complété par trois couleurs gingivales, qui
permettent la peinture des parties gingivales.
Les couleurs du set Lightpaint On Set polymérisent à
cause d’une combinaison de deux systèmes de durcissement qui harmonisent l’un avec l’autre.
L’auto-polymérisation base sur le principe poudre - liquide
en mélangeant le poudre coloré et le liquide de mélange
(Liquid). Puis, la polymérisation finale est incitée et terminée par des rayons de lumière d’une longueur d’ondes
de 350 - 500 nm. Seulement à l’aide de cette combinaison
d’auto et photo-polymérisation, un durcissement même des
mélanges de couleurs très opaques est garanti.

Préparation de la surface
La surface doit être nettoyée de la poussière et de la graisse.
Il est recommandé de rendre rugueuse la surface par du
papier sableux ou par des rayons sableux avec du corindon
avec des dimensions de granules 50 ou 100 u. En rendant
la surface rugueuse elle doit être agrandie pour améliorer
le mouillage et l’adhésion rétentive.
Mélange des couleurs
Poudres colorés: 1 : blanc, 2 : vanille, 3 : kaki, 4 : maïs;
5 : orange, 6 : orange-foncé, 7 : châtain, 8 : bleu colombe,
9 : noir, 10 : bordeaux, 11 : rose, 12 : violet
Le poudre coloré correspondant est mélangé avec Liquid sur
la palette de mélange. La relation de mélange peut être variée
à volonté jusqu’à ce que le mélange peut encore être peint.
Grâce à la variation du mélange on peut achever l’intensité
d’une couleur transparente jusqu’à une couleur opaque. Pour
l’application nous recommandons une épaisseur du pinceau
00. Si vous le désirez, les couches colorées dif férentes peuvent être polymérisées entretemps dans un appareil de photopolymérisation correspondant. En cas d’une longue interruption de travail nous recommandons de couvrir la palette
avec le couvercle non perméable à la lu-mière pour éviter un

peut être préparée avec Liquid sans perte de qualité.
Après la dernière peinture et avant l’application de la couche
d’étanchéité Surface avec un pinceau d’épaisseur 3, il faut
polymériser. L’utilisation de Surface est importante, comme
Surface sert au lissage et à la homogénéisation de la surface
et augmente la pérennité de la coloration dans le milieu de
la bouche humide.
Surface peut également être appliqué avec la pointe d’un
couteau ou avec un pistolet d’air brush. Cela résulte en une
épaisseur de matériau équilibré et résistant à la rupture. (Des

Temps de procédure
Le temps de procédure du mélange de couleur finie s’élève
à environ 10 minutes. En diluant avec Liquid le temps de
procédure peut être prolongé.

5 minutes (Polylux PT)
Polymérisation de la couche colorée appliquée
10 - 15 minutes (Polylux PT)
Polymérisation de Surface:
15 minutes (Polylux PT)
