Swings that Sing: Staff Pick by Geneviève Leclerc, CMP
We have a soft spot for the wonderful interactive installation entitled
"21 BALANÇOIRES (swings)" displayed in Montreal's Quartier des
spectacles over the spring. 21 BALANÇOIRES is an exercise in musical
cooperation that is half street furniture, half game. The work of 2 artistdesigners well-known in the new media scene, it features 21 colorful
musical swings. Each swing being an instrument on its own, it
generates different notes depending on how you swing and how many
swing together. We wanted to share with you these great pictures.

Notre coup de coeur de la saison: « 21 BALANÇOIRES », une superbe
installation interactive hébergée ce printemps dans le Quartier des
spectacles de Montréal. 21 BALANÇOIRES est un exercice de
coopération musicale, à mi-chemin entre le mobilier et le jeu. Cet
instrument collectif a été créé par 2 artistes-designers bien connues
dans le domaine des nouveaux médias et met en vedette 21 balançoires
colorées. Chacune des balançoire est un instrument de musique en soi
et génère des sons différents selon comment les gens s'y balancent et
combien de balançoires bougent en même temps. Vous pouvez

We Were There!
IMEX in Frankfurt is always a top industry event on everyone's list
and this year was no different. From May 22 to 24th, the 9th
edition of this not-to-be-missed tradeshow brought together nearly
9,000 members of the event planning industry. Our Director of
Sales, Alain Carbonneau (second from the right with Toronto
industry partners) had a great time networking with contacts from
around the world..
