Why do I need the SensorSafe™ system?
Our hope is that no one would ever need the SensorSafe™ system, but
the reality is that 1 child dies every 9 days from being left in a car. We
see it as a social responsibility to offer caregivers and parents the
opportunity to help prevent these tragedies from happening.
Are there other systems in the market like
SensorSafe™?
SensorSafe™ is the only system that has the transmitter integrated into
the safety-tested car seat AND, unlike others, the simple 2-piece
system does not require bluetooth, cellular or other devices.
What components make up the SensorSafe™
system?
The SensorSafe™ system includes a receiver plug and a chest clip
transmitter. One receiver plug can be used with multiple chest clips in
the same vehicle.
Can I use the SensorSafe™ system in ANY
vehicle?
The SensorSafe™ receiver plug works ONLY with 2008 or newer
gas/diesel equipped vehicles purchased in the U.S. or Canada. If you
would like to use the SensorSafe™ chest clip with a Hybrid or Stop/Start
vehicle, please contact Evenflo® ParentLink™ at: 1-800-233-5921 (U.S.),

Can I move my SensorSafe™ receiver plug
between vehicles?
Yes, your SensorSafe™ receiver plug can be moved between vehicles as
long as they are compatible. The SensorSafe™ receiver plug works
ONLY with 2008 or newer gas/diesel equipped vehicles purchased in
the U.S. or Canada. If you would like to use the SensorSafe™ chest clip
with a Hybrid or Stop/Start vehicle, please contact Evenflo® ParentLink™
at : 1-800-233-5921 (U.S.), 1-937-773-3971 (Canada), or
01-800-706-12-00 (Mexico).
Does the SensorSafe™ chest clip meet the
same safety standards as other chest clips?
Just like all chest clips used on other Evenflo® car seats, the
SensorSafe™ chest clip has been tested with the Embrace™ 35 infant
car seat to meet or exceed all applicable federal motor vehicle safety
standards. The SensorSafe™ chest clip is compatible only with Evenflo®
Embrace™ infant car seats that have a maximum weight rating of
greater than 13.6 kg (30 lbs).
Is the SensorSafe™ chest clip transmitter safe
for use near my child?
The SensorSafe™ chest clip transmitter is certified safe for use by the US
Federal Communication Commission and IC Canada. It transmits an
extremely brief, very low power signal no stronger than your car’s keyless
remote entry. The transmissions are so brief that total transmission time in
2 hours of driving is less than one second. Please be aware that this
product does contain magnets. Before use, consult your family doctor about
the compatibility of this product with pacemakers and similar devices.

What if my child unbuckles the chest clip
while I am driving?
The SensorSafe™ system will sound a series of gentle tones to inform
you within 30 seconds of the chest clip being unbuckled while driving.
Will the SensorSafe™ system interfere with
my vehicle’s operation, keyless entry, or make
the garage door go up and down?
The SensorSafe™ receiver plug will not interfere in the operation of your
vehicle or other devices. The receiver plug uses the connector port for
power to monitor the SensorSafe™ chest clip, and to determine if the
car is ON or OFF. The SensorSafe™ reciever plug will not drain your
vehicle’s battery, as it only uses a tiny amount of power, the same
amount required to run your dashboard clock.
What if I have 2 or more SensorSafe™
equipped seats? Will this confuse the
system?
You can use the SensorSafe™ system with multiple seats. You can also
use the same SensorSafe™ equipped seat in multiple vehicles. Each
SensorSafe™ chest clip has a unique ID and will not be confused with
another seat. Your SensorSafe™ system knows exactly how many seats
are buckled in the vehicle at any time. It will alarm if any of the chest
clips paired with it are unbuckled while driving. It will also properly
remind you at the end of your car trip if one or more buckled seats is
present. Any vehicle with a SensorSafe™ receiver plug will respond to
any SensorSafe™ chest clip.

How long will the SensorSafe™ chest clip
battery last?
The SensorSafe™ battery should last for the life of the car seat, but is
designed to alert you of a low battery. If your SensorSafe™ chest clip
battery is getting low, it will make a “low battery” alarm when the chest
clip is closed. This “low battery” alarm will sound different from the
tones you typically hear when activating your SensorSafe™ system. You
can extend battery life by ensuring the SensorSafe™ chest clip remains
unbuckled when not in use. If you do accidentally leave the SensorSafe™
chest clip buckled while not in use, the chest clip will automatically shut
off after 12 hours, preserving battery life. Once you unbuckle and
rebuckle your child into the seat, the SensorSafe™ chest clip will reset

No. The SensorSafe™ chest clip is compatible ONLY with Evenflo®
