Teaching notes
This is a shorter, differentiated version of the original resource. The gap fill tasks on
p.1 can be cut up so that students can do one, two or all of the tasks according to ability.
Task B is based only on the first of the texts in task A, enabling all students to move
onto this. Task C can be completed by any student with a background knowledge of the
Simpsons and therefore does not rely on all the texts in Task A having been completed.
Although this resource is stand-alone, the French trailer for the Simpsons film (Les
Simpson – La Bande Annonce du Film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaUZOrGVi-I)
would be a good way to set the scene. A possible homework task would be for students
to describe their own families or a fictional family of their choice.
For copyright reasons we are unable to include pictures of the Simpsons in the
worksheet so you may like to add your own before printing.
