Préalable : French 201-202 ou Français 201-202 ^ ˘ Texts used Cahier d’exercices Notes de cours (à la librairie et sur WebCT) (à la librairie et sur WebCT) ˘ ^ Course Contents · · · · vocabulaire propre à chacune des grandes divisions de l’administration : comptabilité, économique, finance, informatique, droit des affaires, marketing, impôt, gestion des ressources humaines, Bourse, banque, assurances, commerce international, mathématiques financières, statistiques, etc.; lecture d’articles de revues et de journaux choisis principalement en fonction du vocabulaire : les étudiants devront répondre à des questions sur ces articles ou faire un condensé de ces articles; revue de certains points de grammaire particuliers au monde des affaires : abréviations, sigles, majuscules et minuscules, anglicismes, certains verbes courants, trait d’union, division des mots, accord de certains participes passés, emploi du subjonctif, orthographe; courtes présentations en classe par les étudiants sur des sujets reliés au monde des affaires. ˘ ^ Grading System Sept 8 – Dec 2 Sept 16 – Dec 2 Sept 23 Progress tests (3) Oral presentation Summary of an article Fri Oct 8 – Tues Oct 12 15 % 15 % 10 % Thanksgiving Break Oct 14 Mid-term exam (90 min.) Failure to fulfil these requirements may lead to debarment from examinations. Protracted absence from the University may involve debarment from courses. Students are required to return promptly after holidays, and are requested not to make travel plans which will interfere with registration or examination schedules." BAC221, as a course available to you and can select it Note: Only students who are registered in a particular course (which the professor has also actuated for WebCT) will have access to this material. If you have any technical difficulties accessing a WebCT course, please see the lab consultant. If the consultant is unable to help you, please visit the Multimedia Centre and ask for technical help. Note that for a student to be able to access a WebCT course: · The instructor must have told the students that this particular was set up with WebCT · The student must be officially registered in the course · WebCT class-lists will be updated on a daily basis at 4:00 pm · Students choosing to add/drop courses may have to wait a day or two before they can access the added courses. ^
