CORNWALL: The New Evangelization made simple and practical! Conference on April 12th at 7 PM at the Agora Centre. Michael Dopp, a young married man from Ottawa will help us understand the New Evangelization.... what it is, why it is important and how we can share the Good News in our homes, workplaces and everywhere we go. He holds a Licentiate in Sacred Theology with a focus on the New Evangelization and is full of simple ideas to help us share the gospel message easily. Fr. Graham Keep highly recommended him. Everyone is welcome. Don't miss this opportunity! CORNWALL: Spiritual Direction provides an opportunity for you to share your journey with another who listens with compassion. Your spiritual director will help you to explore how God is working through the struggles to bring you to a deeper transformation. If you are seeking a spiritual director, please call Shirley Lagrue at 613933-5520 or Deacon Wayne Lee at 1-613-833-1502. The National Catholic Mission 2012, “Three Troubling Questions,” will be broadcast on VISIONTV on Monday, April 2nd (Pt. 1) and Tuesday, April 3rd (Part 2) at 6pm and repeated at 10pm. It will feature Father John Heagle, Sister Barbara Leonhard O.F.S., James McGill and Father Pat Fitzpatrick – all of whom will deal with questions that trouble us all. Good Friday Collection for the Holy Land on April 6 th We come together this year in 2012 as brothers and sisters with regard to the Christians and the works of the Holy Land. We feel and know that Jerusalem is our home and our family. My home is within you (Psalm 87, 7). The Psalmist reminds us of our ties to the Church of Jerusalem, mother of all the churches of the world. The Church in the Holy Land appeals for our solidarity. The Pontifical Good Friday Collection remains a special opportunity to respond accordingly. By our prayer and a concrete gesture of support, our community can ensure a significant contribution for the faithful and to charitable and social works, as well as to the care of the Holy Sites and the training of future priests. By lending our support to the Church and the works of the Holy Land we are looking after ourselves and our own spiritual heritage. We allow Christians who are sorely tested to remain steadfast and be witnesses of reconciliation and peace. We support men and women who care and provide access to the Holy Sites, the living memory of Jesus.
