È così che nasce Spicy, parola più parola meno.

This is how Spicy was born, if not quite in the same words, in very similar ones indeed.
Potevano essere solo chiacchiere al sapore di Chianti. Due amici che si godono una giornata di sole in Toscana e basta.
Ma i due sono un imprenditore con la passione per l’enogastronomia e un fashion brand extension designer.
It could have just been two friends daydreaming in front of a bottle of Chianti. Two friends enjoying a day under the Tuscan sun. But it didn’t turn out quite like
that, because the two friends were a businessman with a passion for food and wine and a fashion designer.
Sarà stata la luce, forse il clima ideale, magari la situazione giusta. Fatto sta che l’ispirazione, quel giorno di primavera inoltrata, li ha trovati pronti.
E ha fatto nascere una collezione di articoli di design per la cucina e per la casa, che si porta dentro un pezzo del buonumore di quel pomeriggio.
Oggetti che prendono spunto dalla natura, celano un sogno, portano nelle case di città quei profumi bucolici di terra, sole, giardini, brezza e passeggiate pisane.
Stupiscono, pur nella loro semplicità inconsueta. Forse colpisce proprio la spontaneità con cui le forme della natura si tramutano in oggetti per la cucina, per la
tavola, per gli ambienti domestici e per l’orto.
Perhaps it was the light, or the perfect weather, or maybe just the right atmosphere. Whatever it was, the fact remains that day of late spring inspiration struck.
And led to the creation of a collection of designer kitchen and homeware that carries with it the joyous mood of that afternoon. Objects inspired by nature,
thought to fulfill a dream and bring into the home some of the bucolic scents of earth, sun, blossom and light wind of those relaxing Tuscan strolls.
Objects that strike despite their unusual simplicity. Or maybe because of it. A spontaneous transformation of the shapes of nature into everyday items for the
kitchen, the table, the home, the vegetable garden.
Incontrarsi per l’aperitivo e sentirsi circondati dalla natura toscana.
Apparecchiare per il pranzo e immaginarsi una tavola di risate.
Lavorare l’orto e sognare un viale di cipressi.
Sorseggiare del vino e ritrovarsi a conoscere il gusto della spensieratezza.
Con Spicy tutto questo è realtà.
Getting together for an aperitivo and feeling surrounded by the Tuscan countryside.
Setting the table for lunch and envisioning faces full of laughter.
Working in the vegetable garden and imagining cypress-lined lanes.
Sipping wine and experiencing the pleasure of carefree bliss.
Spicy is all this.

Das waren ungefähr die Worte, die Spicy entstehen ließen.

C’est ainsi qu’est née Spicy, à quelques mots près.
Es hätte auch nur Geplauder bei einem guten Chianti sein können. Zwei Freunde, die einen sonnigen Tag in der Toskana genießen und nicht mehr. Einer der
beiden ist jedoch Unternehmer mit der Leidenschaft für Önogastronomie und der andere ein Modedesigner.
Cela pouvait n’être qu’un bavardage arrosé par un vin Chianti. Deux amis qui jouissent d’une journée de soleil en Toscane et rien d’autre. Mais ces deux
personnes sont un entrepreneur qui a la passion pour l’oenogastronomie et un fashion designer.
Vielleicht war es das Licht, vielleicht das ideale Klima, vielleicht die richtige Situation. Fakt ist, dass sie an jenem Tag im Spätfrühling bereit für die Inspiration waren.
So entstand eine Kollektion an Designerartikel für die Küche und das Haus, die in sich ein Stück der guten Laune jenes Nachmittags birgt. Gegenstände, die sich
an der Natur inspirieren, verbergen einen Traum, bringen in die Häuser der Städte jene ländlichen Düfte von Erde, Sonne, Gärten, Wind und Spaziergängen in
Pisa. Trotz ihrer ungewohnten Einfachheit versetzen sie den Betrachter in Staunen. Vielleicht beeindruckt gerade die Spontaneität, mit der sich die Formen der
Natur in Gegenstände für die Küche, für den Tisch, für den Haushalt und für den Garten verwandeln.
C’est peut-être la lumière, le climat idéal, la bonne situation, bref l’inspiration, ce jour de printemps avancée, a touché ces deux amis. Et voilà la collection
d’articles de design pour la cuisine et la maison qui contiennent un morceau de bonne humeur de cet après-midi-là. Des objets qui tirent l’inspiration de la
nature, qui cachent un rêve, qui portent dans les maisons de ville les parfums bucoliques de la terre, du soleil, des jardins, de la brise et des promenades dans
les alentours de Pise. Leur simplicité insolite étonne. On est frappé par la spontanéité avec laquelle les formes de la nature se transforment en objets pour la
cuisine, la table, les milieux domestiques et le potager.

Waiting to share a meal with friends or family is
a magical moment. Partly, perhaps, because
of the bottles of wine, quietly calling for the
air to be filled with spicy talk and full-bodied
laughter. If it was up to them, this is where they
would meet, perfectly arranged on this wallmounted bottle rack.
Die Wartezeit, bevor man zu Tisch geht, hat
etwas Magisches an sich. Vielleicht auch
wegen der Weinflaschen, die still den langen
Plaudereien und dem abgehackten Gelächter
lauschen. Wenn Sie wählen könnten, würden
Sie sich hier auf diesem Wandflaschenhalter
treffen.
L’attente de se mettre à table est quelque
chose de magique. Peut-être qu’il en est de
même pour les bouteilles de vin qui attendent
silencieuses d’écouter les bavardages qui

table. Their marriage was sealed by a paper
hug, who declared them wood and steel
kitchen roll holder.
An einem sonnigen Tag treffen Holz und Stahl
auf einen gedeckten Tisch aufeinander. Ihre
Verbindung wurde durch eine Umarmung aus
Papier besiegelt, die sie zu Rollenhalter aus
Holz und Stahl erklärte.
Le bois et l’acier se sont rencontrés un jour
de soleil sur une table préparée. Leur mariage
fut scellé par une étreinte de papier qui les
déclara porte-rouleau en bois et en acier.

La pagnotta era abituata alla durezza e alla
malagrazia del legno. Poi, un bel giorno,
incontrò un tagliere pieghevole, garbato,
piacevole al taglio. I minuti trascorsi insieme
erano i più belli. E ogni volta che si dicevano
addio, vivevano di abbracci di briciole.
Bread was used to the toughness and harsh
manners of wood. Until one day, it met a
folding chopping board, courteous and
pleasant under the knife. The times spent
together were always the best. And every time
they said goodbye, a hug of crumbs was all
there was for it.
Der Brotlaib war an die Härte und die
Ungeschliffenheit des Holzes gewohnt.
Dann, eines schönen Tages, traf er auf ein
liebenswürdiges, biegbares Schneidbrett,
auf dem das Schneiden angenehm war. Die
gemeinsam verbrachten Minuten waren am
schönsten. Bei jeder Trennung kam es zu
bröselreichen Umarmungen.
La miche de pain était habituée à la dureté
et à la mauvaise grâce du bois. Un beau
jour, elle rencontra une planche à découper
pliable, polie, agréable. Les minutes passées
ensemble étaient les plus belles. Et quand elles
se disaient adieux, elles vivaient d’étreintes de
miettes.

Stomachs rumbling, water in the mouth, all
eyes set on the wood fire. Gaze narrowed like
in a western movie, everyone is ready to claim
that first pizza. Thankfully, this pizza wheel with
soft-touch rubber-finish handle is at hand, so
that everyone can have a slice and friendships
can be spared.
Alle warten, Mägen knurren, wässrige Münder
und auf den Holzofen starrende Augen. Halb
von Western-Folien geschlossene Blicke
fordern die erste aus dem Ofen kommende
Pizza. Zum Glück gibt es den Pizzaschneider
mit Soft Touch-Gummigriff, der für jeden
eine Spalte schneidet und alle wieder
freundschaftlich vereint.

Es bewahrt Geheimnisse, denn niemand
kann sich vorstellen, was sich darin befindet.
Es hat eine konische Form und ein diskretes
Aussehen. Wer könnte ahnen, dass es sich
um einen heimlichen Zahnstocherbehälter
handelt.

Si conoscevano un po’ meglio ogni volta che
servivano l’insalata insieme. Si sfioravano
inavvertitamente mischiando prendendo e
impiattando. Alla fine le posate per servire
scelsero di non lasciarsi più. O quasi mai.
They got closer every time they served a salad
together. They brushed each other unwittingly
mixing, getting, plating up. In the end, the
salad servers decided never to leave each
other again. Or almost.
Sie lernten sich bei jedem Salat ein bisschen
besser kennen. Beim Mischen, Nehmen und
Anrichten berührten Sie sich ungewollt. Am
Ende beschloss das Vorlegebesteck, sich nie
mehr zu trennen - oder fast nie.
Elles se connaissaient un peu mieux chaque
fois qu’elles servaient la salade ensemble.
Elles s’effleuraient sans le vouloir en remuant,
en prenant et en servant. A la fin les cuillères
pour servir décidèrent de ne plus jamais se
quitter, ou presque jamais.

Qui si ritrovano d’inverno le arance, d’estate
le pesche e le albicocche. Prima è frequentato
da fragole, ciliegie e a chi piacciono le
nespole. Tra settembre e novembre è pieno di
kiwi. E poi c’è il prezzemolo, che è sempre in
mezzo, in questa ciotola con manico e piedini
in silicone antiscivolo.

This is where oranges meet in the winter. In the
summer, it’s peaches and apricots. And before
the summer, it’s strawberries, cherries and, if
you like them, loquats. From September to
November, instead, it’s kiwis. And parsley,
which is always there, in this bowl with non
skid silicone handle and feet.
Hier findet man im Winter Orangen, im
Sommer Pfirsiche und Aprikosen. Zuerst
verkehren dort Erdbeeren, Kirschen und
eventuell auch Mispeln. Zwischen September
und November ist Sie voll Kiwi. Auch Petersilie
ist in diese Schale mit Griff und rutschfesten
Silikonfüßen immer vorhanden.
En hiver, elle est pleine d’oranges, en été, on
y met les pêches et les abricots. On y pose
aussi les fraises, les cerises et les nèfles, du
moins ceux qui les aiment. De septembre à
novembre, on la remplit de kiwis. Pour finir,
il y a le persil qui est toujours là dans ce
saladier aux manches et aux pieds en silicone
antiglisse.

Tra l’acciaio e il legno si riposava serafico un
lenzuolino di carta. Poi un giorno prese il volo
e andò a posarsi sulla bocca di una splendida
fanciulla. Labbra morbide, rosse e succose.
Sembrava amore, invece era una macchia
di sugo. Fortuna che c’era il portatovaglioli in
legno e acciaio.
Lying in between steel and wood, a paper
sheet was resting peacefully. Then, one day,
it took off and went to sit on the lips of a
beautiful girl. Soft lips they were, red and juicy.
It seemed to be love. Instead, it was sauce.
Luckily, this wood and steel napkins holder
was at hand.
