The Story
The bar that began in 2008 is now finding identity through maturity.
Michelle & Travis Tausend have developed this space into a comfortable
lounge like feel with an ever changing list of wines you will not find on
many, if any lists in Adelaide.
Our wines are all organic, biodynamic &/or natural and show a vibrancy,
freshness and above all, have identity and are unique.
We offer small food plates that are designed to accompany the wine and are
either house made, or sourced locally.
Wine Flights
Our flights are designed so that you can taste a group of 3, 50ml glasses.
Choose 3 still wines by the glass for a $17 wine flight
Choose 3 sparkling wines by the glass for a $25 wine flight
Choose 3 dessert wines by the glass for a $22 wine flight
Producer Focus – Ruggabellus
About 4 years ago a man used to frequent the Cork Wine Café Saturday
breakfast. We got to chatting one day and it turns out he is making a bit
of wine, which is bottled but without a label. The man was Abel Gibson
and he spoke of the wine with intensity and passion, so I asked if, when
a label had been decided upon, we could try. A couple of weeks later 4
bottles arrived and we sat down to try them. The ‘Fluus’ was finished in
about 15-20 minutes, a testament to the delicious, energetic and lively
wine.
This year’s vintage is what we believe to be the best yet with lifted
aromatics and a juicy fresh palate leaving you wanting more.
Well done Abel, we are so happy you popped in on that cold Saturday
morning for breakfast.
