Building a World of Justice

St. Paul tells us today.
What is pleasing to God is that we be
a light to the world.
Each one of us is anointed,
called, and gifted.
What are the gifts that
you have been given?
It is through prayerful discernment
that we learn to know our gifts,
and how to use and share them in a
manner that is both pleasing to God
and gives glory to God.
Prayers of the People
God of Compassion, in Colombia,
in Palestine and Israel, in Afghanistan,
in all the regions of the world where
your people suffer from the violence
of war and the violence of oppression,
open the way forward to hope,
to healing, to a just and lasting peace.
God of Peace, we pray for courageous
and committed people around the world
who every day take steps,
small and large, along the path to
peace. May we too be faithful travellers
as we follow in the footsteps of
Jesus who came to be our Peace.

Dieu de compassion, en Colombie, en

guerre et la violence de l’oppression,
ouvre la voie à l’espérance, à la
guérison, à une paix juste et durable.
Dieu de la paix. Nous prions pour ces
personnes courageuses et engagées
qui, partout dans le monde, font
chaque jour des pas, grands ou petits,
sur le chemin de la paix. Fais de nous
des voyageurs fidèles, car nous
marchons sur les traces de Jésus, lui
qui est venu pour être notre Paix.

Chemin Neuf Cana Session for Couples
Saturday, April 9, 2011
Cana is a mission of the Chemin Neuf Community
which helps couples strengthen their marriage and
deepen their spiritual life. This will be a one day
introduction to Cana and will include prayer,
teaching, sharing groups, and time alone as a
couple. Held Saturday, April 9 from 10 a.m.
until 4 p.m. at Light of the Prairies Centre near
Lorette. Suggested donation: $35 per couple

Easter Triduum Retreat at the Catholic School
of Evangelization—April 21-24, 2011
The retreat is designed to help people to understand
and live out the richness of the traditions of the
celebration of the Easter Triduum.
Each day, participants will be encouraged to enter
into the mystery of the moment.
Experiencing the Easter Triduum in a small
community setting also encourages greater
participation in the Great celebration
back in the home parishes of the participants in the
years to come. The cost of the weekend is $50
which covers all meals, accommodations and
supplies for activities. Recommended age is 18+,
but exceptions can be made.
There is limited space, so be sure to
register early to avoid disappoointment.
