Notification by the Government.of Australia
In accordance with the procedures laid down in paragraph '. of the Decision of
the COFï?JkCTING PA;lTI;io dated 28 March 1966 (EIo'D fourteenth Supplément page 23)
the Government of Australia hereby notifies its intention to extend its system of
tariff preferences for developing countries.
It is proposed to grant preferential duty-free admission, without quota
limitation, to the following;
Sandals and hats, hand-made from woven, braided or knitted fabrics made from
plaiting materials, being plaiting materials of a kind defined in note 1 to
Chapter 4-6 in the first schedule.

Conformément à la procédure prévue au paragraphe 4 de la Décision des PARTIES
CONTRACTANTES en date du 28 mars 1966 (IBDD, Supplément n° 14, page 27), le
Gouvernement australien fait savoir' par la présente note qu'il a l'intention
d'étendre la portée de son système de préférences tarifaires en faveur des pays
en voie de développement.
Il est proposé d'appliquer le régime préférentiel d'admission en franchise,
sans limitation contingentaire, aux produits suivantsî
Sandales et chapeaux, faits à la main avec des tissus, des tissus d'éléments
entrelacés ou des tissus de bonneterie confectionnés à l'aide des matières à
tresser définies dans la note 1 du chapitre 46 du tableau I.
