IMPLEMENTETTOX OF THE CONCLUSIONS OF THE EUROPEAN COUNCIL
FONTAINEBLEAU
Having resolved the last outstanding difficulty, the council
confirmed the agreement reached by the Ministers for Economic and
Financial Affairs at their meeting on l-2 November on the draft
conclusions on the measures necessary to ensure the effective
implementation of the concluslons of the European Council on
budgetarY disciPlineThe draft was immediately forwarded, as a joint position, to
the European Parliament with a view to the talks wlth the Parliament
on 2l- November.
ACP.EEC NEGOTIATIONS
Having taken note of the conclusive results obtained by the
commission in the negotiations with the ACP countries on most of
the problems that had remained outstanding after the restricted
ministerial meeting between 9 and 13 October, the Council studied
the last questions still undecided with a view to the meeting between
the two co-Presidents which is to be held shortly in Brussels in
accordance with the conclusions of the meeting between 9 artd
13 October. The Council intends to finalize the Community position
for that meeting in the next few days.

and Soclal Security, alternate member of the Advlsory Commlttee on
the Training of Midwives, to replace Mrs D. JONES, for the remalnden
of the latter's term of office, 1.e. untll 7 March 1986.
On the proposal
of the United Kingdom Government, the Council
also appointed Miss Ellen HYNES, Gramplan Health Board, Aberdee'n
I{aternity Hospital, alternate member of the Advlsory Committee on the
Training of Midwives, to replace Mlss M.M. TURNER, for the remainder
of the latterrs term of office, i.e. until 7 March 1,986.

Flnally, on the proposal of the Netherlands Government, the
Council appointed Mrs E. KRUITHOF, Hoofd Verplegingsdlenst van het
IKAZTA Ziekenhuis te Rotterdam, alternate member of the Advlsory
Committee on Nursi-ng Training, to replace Mrs J. VINK, for the
remainder of the latter's term of office, 1.e. unt1l 7 October 1985.

Le Conseil Affeires Genrales srest reuni en. restreinte peu
apres le debut des travaux de cet apres-midi pour examiner les'
problemes de Ia Peche et de lrAqrieulture.
Je vous rappelle qu'au cours de. la journee d'hier, Ia
presidence du Conseil Affaires generales a exprime sa volonte
dtintensifier les reunions et les contacts a tous les niveaux,
en vue de preparer les sessionsl de neqociations avec les pays
candidats prevues pour Ia fin novembre.
Dans cette perspective, outre les contacts de Ia presidence
et de la Commission' avec les pavs candidats qui auront lieu a
partir de demain, un C0REPER avec la participation de hauts
foncitonnaires des Etats membres devrait avoir lieu Ia semainè
prochaine
