NOT FOR USE WITH SUBMERSIBLE FIXTURES
DIRECT BURIAL TRANSFORMER
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
150W / 300W
CAUTION Use only with maximum 150 watt lamp load per circuit
ATTENTION Utiliser uniquement avec une lampe de charge maximale de 150Watt par circuit
WARNING Not for use with receptacles that are weatherproof only when the receptacle cover is closed
and the power unit is not inserted.
AVERTISSEMENT Ne pas utiliser avec des réceptacles étanches. Seulement lorsque le couvercle du
réceptacle est fermée et que l’unité d’alimentation n’est pas insérée.
WARNING Risk of shock. When used outdoors, install only in covered Class A GFCI protected
receptacle that is weatherproof with the power unit connected to the receptacle. If one is not provided,
contact a qualified electrician for proper installation. Ensure that the power unit and cord do not
interfere with completely closing the receptacle cover.

DIRECT BURIAL TRANSFORMER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (cont.)
OUTPUT CONNECTIONS
The DBT150GR has one waterproof output cable (150 Watts), and the DBT300GR has two waterproof
output cables (150 Watts each). Simply attach a Coastal Source Plug+Play cable to the output connections
and begin laying out the system.
INPUT CONNECTIONS
This transformer is for use with 120V 60Hz power only and the attached cord shall be plugged into a GFCI
protected outlet.
OVERLOAD PROTECTION
This transformer is equipped with a protection system that will shut down the transformer to avoid damage
when a short or overload condition is detected. Before attempting to reset the transformer identify and
remove the fault from the system. Once the fault has been corrected, simply unplug the transformer, wait
30-60 seconds, and plug it back in. The transformer should continue working normally.
WALL MOUNTING (see Figure 1)
1. Transformer should be mounted a minimum of 12” above ground level.
2.Multiple units should be at least 8” apart.
3.Cable outlet should be face down (please refer to Figure 1).
4.Mounting should be a minimum of 20” from any other electrical applicant
and 10’ from heating devices such as barbeques, heaters and high powered lights (500W and above).
5.After choosing the optimal location on a rigid wall/structure, mount with
appropriate screws (not included).
DIRECT BURIAL INSTALLATION
1. Transformer must be placed either into an underground
electrical enclosure or directly buried into the soil.
2.Do not surround transformer with thick layers of garden mulch
or other media with thermally insulating properties as this may
cause overheating
3.Product is rated IP67 and therefore is suitable for temporary
submersion (eg. Underground applications).
4.Do not use in applications that require permament submersion
(eg. Used underwater in ponds or water features).
5.Follow local regulations for the connection and protection of input
and output wiring.
Figure 1. Wall Mounting
6.At installation were there are multiple transformers buried underground,
they should be spaced at least 12” apart.
7. Ensure transformer locations are marked or protected so as to eliminate the risk of damage from metal
stakes or other object being driven into the ground.
