In Montreal Little Italy and Jean-Talon market
Calabria: March 19 to March 25, 2012
Veneto: April 23 to April 29, 2012
Montreal, February 27, 2012 - Lovers of Italian cuisine and its many regional culinary specialties, prepare for a pleasant food
sensory experience! The restaurants and shops of Little Italy and Jean-Talon Market invite you to discover the flavors and
products of Italian regional cuisines in March and April 2012!
As of March 19 to March 25, in the restaurants and shops, guests can enjoy and buy culinary products of Calabria. As of April
23 to April 29, the leading star will be the regional cuisine of Veneto. In March, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada
will promote the typical Calabrian products available in Quebec and introduce new food products.
The purpose of this gastronomic festival is to remark the historical role of restaurateurs and merchants of Little-Italy and
Jean-Talon Market as ambassadors of various Italian regional cuisines in Quebec for over a century. Of course, the other
objective is to reinforce contacts among Italy with local merchants, restaurateurs and producers!
This gastronomic event is organized by Société de développement commercial (SDC) Little Italy - Jean-Talon Market,
Corporation de gestion des marchés publics de Montréal, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada, the Magnani
Montaruli Foundation and Ciao Italia - Association of Italian restaurants in the world (Section: North America).
Monday March 12, 2012, the restaurant Piccola Italia (6701, Saint-Laurent Boulevard, tel. 514270-6701) will host an evening
for the Foundation Magnani Montaruli with a typical menu from Calabria. Places available: 60 ($100 per person). For more
