1 9 May 1964, on t h e Preliminary Objections i n t h e case c o n c e r n i w t h e
Barcelona Traction, Light and Power Company Limited (New Application:
1962) (Belgium v. pain), t h e Court heard S i r Humphrey Waldock,

i n t h e i r p r e s e n t a t i o n of t h e o r a l r e p l y on behalf o f ' t h e Spanish
Governrnent, a f t e r which t h e Agent f o r t h e Spanish Goverment, M. Juan M.
.Castro Riol, made a d e c l a r a t i o i l and s t a t e d t h a t t h e F i n a l Submissions
of h i s Government would be f i l e d with t h e R e g i s t r a r .
The Court t h e n heard M. .Yves Devadder, Agent, and Pi, Ange10 Sereni,
W, Jean Van Tlyn, Mrne Suzanne Bastid, Rh-. E l i h u Lauterpacht, M. Georges
Sauser-Hall and M. Henri Holin, Counsel, i n t h e i r p r e s e n t a t i o n of t h e
o r a l r e j o i n d e r on behalf of t h e Belgian Government.
The President t h e n declared t h e o r a l proceedings concluded, it
being understocd t h a t should t h e Court d e s i r e furthers informatioii
from t h e P a r t i e s , it would conununicate with t h e Agents.
