1 Access information
1.1 By RER A (the Paris suburban railway system, line A)
In the heart of the new city of Marne-la-Vallée, the campus of the Cité Descartes is
25 minutes from the centre of Paris and 20 minutes from the TGV (high speed train)
railway station of Marne-la-Vallée Chessy (Val d’Europe).
Take RER A to Noisy-Champs station, the exit 3 - Cité Descartes.
Coming from Paris, the exit 3 is located at the head of the train.
On the campus of the Cité Descartes, the École des Ponts ParisTech is accessible
by Bd. Newton – Av. Ampère – Av. Blaise Pascale (5 minute walk, 6-8 avenue Blaise
Pascal, see map of Cité Descartes).
1.2 By the A4 motorway
• Coming from Paris, take the A4 motorway, direction Metz - Nancy, exit Champssur-Marne, direction Cité Descartes. The École is 15 km from the Porte de Bercy.
• Coming from outside Paris, take the A4 motorway, direction Paris, exit Marne-laVallée - Val Maubuée centre, direction Marne-la-Vallée - Cité Descartes.
