For its third edition, and besides a selection of about 70 feature films, Les Arcs European Film Festival
(December 10-17, 2011) organizes the third ARC 1950 COPRODUCTION VILLAGE (December 1013, 2011). During 4 days, it aims to welcome 20 European film projects. The projects' producers
will be invited to the festival, and will have the possibility to meet potential co-producers, sales
agents, French and European distributors, regional funds and banks, equity partners, etc. Conferences
on various issues concerning production, sales and distribution of European films are also organized.
This year, the festival also welcomes 5 European films in post-production looking for
complementary financing and/or distributors, sales agents.
For the first time this year, we will organize Transmedia meetings: the professionals will have the
opportunity to debate about Trans/Cross Media and to meet actors from other sectors (web, video
game...).
ARC 1950 COPRODUCTION VILLAGE aims at being not only a series of professional meetings, but also
a place where you can develop informal relationships in a casual atmosphere, in a unique place.
Participants have, for instance, the opportunity to pitch their projects on chairlifts. At the same time it
is possible to take part in sport sessions (ski competition between professionals, snowshoe trekking,
etc...) and in the Coproduction Village lunches and cocktails.
Each year, a country is honoured by ARC 1950 COPRODUCTION VILLAGE. This year, the light is shed
on Italian cinema and its financing system.
This event is organized in partnership with EAVE, Europa Distribution, Europa International, the
European Producers Club, DIRE, Cine-Regio, Rhône Alpes Cinéma, LVT / Digimage, Cineuropa, Le Film
Français, Screen with the support of the CNC and the Rhône-Alpes region. About 200 participants
from all over Europe are expected.
EAVE partnership
A selected number of EAVE producers will be invited by the festival (accommodation in a 4 stars
residence, and special price for the accreditation: 90 Euro including breakfasts and lunches).
