The proposed expansion of the Mayer Waste Disposal Site was designated by the Minister of
the Environment on September 20,2000 under the Environmental Assessment Act in
accordance with Ontario Regulation 565/00. Terms of Reference for completion of the
Environmental Assessment (EA) were subsequently completed and approved by the Minister of
the Environment on September 19,2001. On August 2,2002 the EA for Expansion in Landfill
Capacity for the Mayer Waste Disposal Site - Domestic Landfill was submitted to the MOE for
review.
At this time, Conestoga-Rovers & Associates (CRA) on behalf of 781998 Ontario Inc. respectfully
submits the Part V Application and supporting documentation for Amendment to Provisional
Certificate of Approval No. A471506 issued for the Mayer Waste Disposal Site Domestic
Landfill to allow for continued landfilling at the Domestic Landfill until the final contours
presented in the Design and Operations Plan, Domestic Landfill Expansion, Mayer Waste
Disposal Site (CRA, November 2002) are reached. Accompanying the Application is the
$22,700.00 Application fee.
Copies of the Application and supporting documents have been made available for public
