Vào mӝt ngày nӑ, Ĉӭc Phұt ngө tҥi KǤ Viên Tӏnh xá, nѭӟc Xá VӋ, sau mӝt thӡi giҧng pháp, các vӏ tǤ kheo
cùng nhau bàn luұn vӅ vҩn ÿӅ hҥnh-phѭӟc.
Mӝt vӏ nói : "H̩nh-ph˱ͣc là có ÿ˱ͫc th̵t nhi͉u ti͉n cͯa, quy͉n th͇ nh˱ ÿͱc Vua."
Mӝt vӏ khác bҧo : "Ĉͯ c˯m ăn ngon, thͱc u͙ng ng͕t là ÿã có nhi͉u h̩nh-ph˱ͣc r͛i."
Mӝt vӏ khác lҥi góp ý kiӃn : "Tho̫ mãn ÿ˱ͫc các giác quan, s͙ng ÿ̯y ÿͯ vͣi các thú vui, ÿó là h̩nh ph˱ͣc."
Trong khi hӑ ÿang bàn luұn, thì Ĉӭc Phұt ÿi ÿӃn. Ngài bҧo : "Thú vui v̵t ch̭t, ti͉n cͯa, quy͉n th͇, ăn ngon
m̿c ÿ́p ÿó ch˱a h̻n là h̩nh ph˱ͣc, vì các ÿi͉u ÿó giͷ chúng ta mãi trong vòng tái sanh cͯa Luân h͛i kh͝
ÿau l̵n ÿ̵n. Trên th͇ gian n̯y, h̩nh ph˱ͣc là g̿p ÿ˱ͫc Ph̵t ra ÿͥi, có ÿ˱ͫc c˯ duyên nghe gi̫ng d̩y v͉ S͹
Th̵t cao quí, và s͙ng trong s͹ hoà hͫp cͯa Tăng ÿoàn."
Rӗi Ĉӭc Phұt mӟi nói lên bài KӋ sau ÿây : Vui thay Ĉͱc Ph̵t ra ÿͥi ! Vui thay Chánh pháp vͣi lͥi cao -xa !

Mesdames, Mesdemoiselles, Messieurs,
Un jour, après la visite du Bouddha à Savatthi, les Bhikkhus se réunissent pour discuter sur le "bonheur".
- Un des bhikkus commence : "Le bonheur, c’est d’avoir richesse et pouvoir comme un souverain".
- Un autre dit :
"Le bonheur, c’est d’avoir suffisamment de quoi vivre au quotidien".

partage son opinion : "Le bonheur, c’est de satisfaire toutes nos sensations, vivre avec tous
nos plaisirs et désirs’".
Alors que les Bhikkhus se débattent sur ce sujet, le Bouddha s’approche en répliquant : "Richesse et
pouvoir ou autres désirs, sensations et plaisirs ne sont pas considérés comme Bonheur; par contre, ils
nous mettent dans le cycle de samsara – renaissances après renaissances. Mais le Vrai Bonheur est de
voir la venue du Bouddha en ce monde; d’avoir la chance d’écouter et apprendre ses explications
précieuses des Nobles Vérités et de vivre en harmonie entre bhikkhus."
Le Bouddha continue : "Que de joie de voir la venue au monde du Bouddha; que de joie d’écouter son
noble Dharma; que de joie de voir l’harmonie de la Sangha !" (parag.194).
Cette année 2012, le 24ème Séminaire Bouddhique aura lieu à Birmingham, Royaume Uni, du 26/07 au
05/08/2012. C’est aussi la 2ème fois que ce séminaire se déroule en Angleterre.
Suite aux 3 communiqués du Vénérable Supérieur/Président de la Congrégation Bouddhique
Vietnamienne Unifiée de l’Europe, le Comité organisateur du Séminaire de Birmingham lance un appel

bouddhistes; Entreprises et Sociétés; adeptes, participants, sympathisants et non-sympathisants

HOMAGE TO BODHISATVAS !
Venerables, Members of the Sangha worldwide,
Buddhist Associations and Temples,
Buddhist Followers, Participants and Sympathizers and Non-Sympathizers.
Enterprises and Societies,
Ladies and Gentlemen,
One day, after Buddha’s visit to the city of Savatthi, the Bhikkhus meet together to comment on
"Happiness".
- One of them starts :
"Happiness is to possess wealth and power like a king".
"Happiness is to own sufficiently to live and to survive daily".
- A second one says :
"Happiness is to satisfy our sensations, pleasures, and desires".
- A third one shares his opinion :
While they discuss on the subject matter, the Buddha comes to them retorting : "Wealth and power, desires
and pleasures, sensations and satisfaction do not give you Happiness'; on the contrary, you are in the cycle of
Samsara – rebirths after rebirths - True Happiness is: to see the coming of Buddha in this world, listen and
learn his teaching and explanations of the Noble Truths and to live in harmony among Bhikkhus".
This year 2012, the Midlands Buddhist Association/Tu Dam Pagoda is in turn responsible for the
organization of the 24th Buddhist Seminary in Europe, that will take place at Hillcrest School – Stonehouse
Lane – Bartley Green – Birmingham B32 2AE, United Kingdom, from 07/26/2012 to 08/05/2012. This is the
2nd time for UK to be in charge of the Seminary.
The organizing Committee calls for a warm appeal to all of us – Venerable members of the Sangha
worldwide, Buddhist associations and temples, enterprises and societies, Buddhist followers and sympathizers
and non-sympathizers throughout the world – for a donation of a bag of rice or groceries (equivalent to 30¼),
as a financial contribution to the 2012 seminary in Europe. Your precious support, assistance, generosity and
donations will certainly permit the organizing Committee of Midlands (Tu Dam Pagoda) to perform their task
