A residential building since 1948, known for its famous equestrian logo, Longchamp has chosen Le
Corbusier's Cité Radieuse in Marseille as the backdrop for its latest collection. The building has always
been, and remains, a source of inspiration. It is on the roof of the Cité Radieuse, built between 1947 and
1952, that MaMo, directed since 2010 by the designer Ora-ïto, has displayed its creative landscape. This
terraced roof, hovering as if suspended in the air, remains suffused with the spirit of Le Corbusier.
The Cassegrain family, founders of Maison Longchamp, is a sponsor of the Maison Méditerranéenne des
Métiers de la Mode, or Mediterranean Institute for Fashion-Related Professions (MMMM). Jean Cassegrain
paid a visit to the Espace Mode in 2013 and can be seen below alongside Maryline Bellieud-Vigouroux,
Public Relations and Sponsorship for the MMMM, andSophie de Senlis, director of communications for
Longchamp France.
