AVANT-PROPOS
FOREWORD
The International Sanitary Regulations provide that an inter
national certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is valid
only if the vaccine used has been approved by the World Health
Organization and if the vaccinating centre has been designated
by the health administration for the territory in which that centre
is situated.
The list of vaccines approved by the World Health Organization
is given on page 18.
The names of designated vaccinating centres, and in a few instan
ces of vaccinators, are listed below, in accordance with the notifi
cations received from health administrations.
Any amendments to the information given in this Supplement
will be published in the Weekly Epidemiological Record.
It should be noted that international certificates of vaccination
against yellow fever issued by a centre, which subsequently has
been deleted from the list of designated vaccinating centres, remain
valid for the period of validity provided in the International Sanitary
Regulations.
