Bernard Martinez has developed a strong expertise in managing operations within the
pharmaceutical industry, working for major international companies both in France and overseas.
His strategic and operational expertise has been regularly enriched through seminars and courses,
particularly the post graduate courses ESCP Paris and the seminars of the Management Center
Europe (Bruxelles – Belgium)
Through the last 25 years, as Head of Sales and Marketing operations within different
multinational companies, Bernard Martinez played a major role in creating, managing and
developing teams and organizations in different socio-cultural environments and various situations
from creation to post merger reorganization.
He also had to manage transverse projects such as: implementation of the 35 hours law within
sales forces teams in France, set up and harmonization of variable pay process, set up of
ETMS/CRM systems.
On the marketing side, thanks to the products he was responsible for, he acquired a good
knowledge and understanding of different types of markets such as blockbuster market, SNC,
highly specialized products (ophthalmology, infectiology ), and niche markets .
During the last 5 years, Bernard Martinez has developed consulting activities focused on
optimization and effectiveness of operational organizations, an issue which is critical for
companies’ market performance as 80% of the success of strategies is directly linked to the quality
