Al Shabaab attackers destroy Safaricom mast in Mandera
Suspected Al-Shabaab militants have attacked Dabacity in Elwak, Mandera County and
destroyed a Safaricom telecommunication mast. County Commissioner Fredrick Shisia
said the attack occurred at about 1.45am Monday. He said the attackers overpowered
the five Kenya Police Reservists (KPR) deployed to guard the mast.

Twenty nine people were killed in a suicide car bomb near Mogadishu’s largest port

Govt soldier shot dead in Qoryoley district
A Somali government soldier was shot and killed by suspected Al shabaab gunmen in
Qoryoley district in Lower Shabelle region, a witness said. According to an eyewitness,
two men armed with pistols have murdered the soldier who was identified as Ali Nunow
in the heart of the town. The killers fled from the scene after the killing.

Two simultaneous blasts ripped through a convoy carrying AU soldiers serving with
AMISOM near Mahaday district in middle Shabelle region on Monday. Sources said

Two People Dead in Kismayo Restaurant Landmine Explosion
A landmine hidden in a restaurant at Dalxiis village in Kismayo town on Sunday night,
killing two people who were eating a dinner and wounded at least six others, witness
have told Radio Dalsan over the phone. Eyewitness said the blast at a restaurant "shook
the ear" "I saw one body. Six others were bleeding badly," were around the restaurant.

AMISOM says foiled attack on its convoy in Somalia
African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) has released a statement confirming that
its soldiers have thwarted a bomb attack on Burundian peacekeepers in middle Shabelle
