Dear colleague,
On behalf of the board of the society, it is with great pleasure that I would like to welcome
you in Antwerp for our yearly meeting, which was renamed as the “Belgian Pneumology Days
2016”.
This year’s meeting is different from the previous meetings, as we have provided much more
symposia from which you can choose to attend the most interesting one’s for you.
The symposia have been put together by the working groups of the society based on
suggestions by its members.
We have invited up to 30 experts from Belgium and from abroad to cover different interesting
aspects of pulmonary diseases, such as asthma and allergy, COPD, surgery for emphysema,
interstitial lung disease, endoscopy, pulmonary infections, non-invasive ventilation and
viral infections in children and as such, we have integrated thoracic surgery and pediatric
pulmonology into this 2 days meeting.
The yearly classics are still included such as health economy (3 accreditation points), the JC
Yernault Award, the GSK Award and the Boehringer Ingelheim award presentations. Also this
year we will have a lifetime achievement award.
The satellite symposia are replaced by a “Meet the sponsors” session, in which 4 different
speakers will discuss 4 different topics in a rotation system so that everyone can attend all
4 presentations.
I do hope you will enjoy our program and will also attend the diner on Friday night to meet
your colleagues.

De Prof.J.C. Yernault Prijs voor Pneumologie bekroont de twee beste voorstellingen van
een klinisch geval. Vanaf 2015 wordt een hoofdprijs van 2500 euro en een tweede prijs
van 1000 euro voorzien. Het aantal orale presentaties wordt beperkt tot 12. Er zal een
preselectie gemaakt worden en de niet-geselecteerde kandidaten zullen hun presentatie
onder postervorm tentoon stellen tijdens de eindejaarsmeeting.
Het reglement van deze prijs wordt verder vermeld en is ook te vinden op de website van
de BVP (www.bvp-sbp.org) of verkrijgbaar op het secretariaat.
Gelieve uw abstract (max. 1 A4 blad) - liefst elektronisch - te sturen naar het
BVP-secretariaat vóór 31 oktober 2016.
Na de eindejaarsmeeting plaatsen we graag de poster op onze website.
Le Prix en Pneumologie Prof. J.C. Yernault sera attribué au deux meilleurs exposés d’un
cas clinique. A partir de 2015 il y a un prix principal de 2500 euro et un deuxième prix de
1000 euro. Le nombre de présentations est limité à maximum 12. Il y aura une présélection
et les candidats non-retenus exposeront leur présentation sous forme de poster pendant la
réunion de fin d’année.

Si vous souhaitez participer à ce prix, veuillez envoyer votre abstract (max. 1 page A4), si
possible par courrier électronique, au secrétariat de la SBP avant le 31 octobre 2016.
Après la réunion de fin d’année nous publierons le poster sur notre site web.

Inschrijving • Inscription
Inschrijving en betaling voor de eindejaarsmeeting gebeuren online via de website (www.
bvp-sbp.org).
De inschrijving voor de leden van de BVP (met lidmaatschap 2016 betaald) bedraagt €60
(niet-leden betalen €140).
Assistenten in opleiding die lid zijn van de vereniging (lidmaatschap 2016 betaald) kunnen
gratis deelnemen (niet-leden van de vereniging betalen €20).
Voor de overnachting wordt een financiële tussenkomst gevraagd van €50 per nacht; voor
het diner op vrijdag €25.
Voor de partner wordt €25 per overnachting en €25 voor het diner op vrijdag gevraagd.
Gelieve in te schrijven via de website www.bvp-sbp.org vóór 30 september 2016. Na die
datum kan geen kamer gegarandeerd worden in het Antwerp Hilton hotel Old Town.
L’inscription et le paiement pour la réunion de fin d’année se fait online sur le site web
(www.bvp-sbp.org).
L’inscription pour les membres de la SBP (avec cotisation 2016 payée) est de 60 euro (les
non-membres paient 140 euro).
Les pneumologues en formation, membres (cotisation 2016 payée) de la Société peuvent
participer gratuitement (les non membres de la Société paient €20).
Une participation de €50 par nuit est demandée pour le logement et la somme de €25
pour le dîner de gala le vendredi.
Pour la personne accompagnante la participation est de €25 par nuit pour le logement; €25
pour le dîner le vendredi.
Veuillez vous inscrire par le site web www.bvp-sbp.org avant le 30 septembre 2016. Après
cette date un logement ne peut être garanti dans l’hôtel Antwerp Hilton Old Town.

PROF. J.C. YERNAULT PRIJS VOOR PNEUMOLOGIE – REGLEMENT
1. Vanaf 2015 omvat de Prof. J.C. Yernault Award twee prijzen; een hoofdprijs ter waarde van
2500 € en een tweede prijs van 1000 €. Deze prijzen worden ter beschikking gesteld door
de Belgische Vereniging voor Pneumologie. Ze bekronen de twee beste klinische gevallen,
voorgesteld op de jaarlijkse vergadering voorbehouden voor vrije mededelingen.
Het aantal presentaties wordt beperkt tot maximum 12. Hiertoe zal een preselectie gemaakt
worden door het Bestuur van de BVP.
De niet-geselecteerde kandidaten stellen hun presentatie onder vorm van een poster ten
toon tijdens de eindejaarsmeeting.
2. Er is geen leeftijdslimiet voor de kandidaten en zowel longartsen als assistenten uit perifere
of universitaire ziekenhuizen kunnen deelnemen. De kandidaten dienen op het moment van
de vergadering lid te zijn van de Belgische Vereniging voor Pneumologie. De kandidaten
dienen ofwel de Belgische nationaliteit te bezitten ofwel een buitenlandse nationaliteit maar
dan in België tewerkgesteld zijn.
3. Elke kandidaat kan slechts één enkele mededeling doen tijdens dezelfde vergadering. De
jury kan de eerste prijs geen twee opeenvolgende jaren aan dezelfde kandidaat toekennen.
4. De voorstellingen gebeuren preferentieel in het Engels.
5. De jury voor de prijs bestaat uit de leden van de Raad van Bestuur van de Belgische
Vereniging voor Pneumologie, aangevuld met vertegenwoordigers van de Universitaire
Ziekenhuizen, die niet vertegenwoordigd zijn in de Raad van Bestuur. De Wetenschappelijk
Secretaris van de BVP is de voorzitter van de jury. Kandidaten mogen niet in de jury zetelen.
6. De preselectie gebeurt op basis van de inhoud van de casus, de eigenlijke selectie op
basis van twee criteria: de presentatie en de inhoud (originaliteit van de voorgestelde casus
inbegrepen).
7. De jury komt onmiddellijk na de vergadering bijeen en deelt de uitslag mee.
8. De prijs wordt overhandigd aan de laureaat door de Voorzitter van de Vereniging.
PRIX EN PNEUMOLOGIE PROF. J. C. YERNAULT - REGLEMENT
1. A partir de 2015, le Prix J.C. Yernault comporte deux prix : un prix principal pour une valeur
de 2500 € et un deuxième prix de 1000 €. Ces prix sont mis à disposition chaque année par
la Société Belge de Pneumologie. Ils seront attribués aux meilleurs exposés d’un cas clinique,
présenté au cours de la réunion annuelle réservée aux communications libres.
Le nombre de présentations est limité à maximum 12. Pour cela une présélection sera
effectuée par les membres du Bureau.
Les candidats non sélectionnés présenteront leur travail sous forme d’un poster lors de la
réunion de fin d’année.
2. Il n’y a pas de limite d’âge pour poser sa candidature. Pneumologues et assistants exerçant
dans des hôpitaux universitaires ou périphériques peuvent participer à ce prix. Les candidats
devront être membres de la Société Belge de Pneumologie au moment de la réunion. Les
candidats devront être soit de nationalité belge, soit de nationalité étrangère et exercer la
médecine en Belgique.
3. Chaque candidat ne peut présenter qu’une seule communication lors de la même réunion. Le
jury ne peut attribuer le premier prix au même candidat deux années de suite.
4. La communication doit être présentée de préférence en anglais.
5. Le jury du prix est composé par les membres du Conseil d’Administration de la Société Belge
de Pneumologie, ainsi que des représentants des hôpitaux universitaires autres que ceux
inclus dans le Conseil d’Administration. Le Secrétaire Scientifique de la SBP est le président
du jury. Les candidats ne peuvent pas siéger dans le jury.
6. La présélection se fait sur base du contenu du cas clinique; le classement définitive sur base
de deux critères: la présentation et le contenu du cas présenté, tout en tenant compte de son
originalité.
7. Le jury se réunit immédiatement après la réunion pour sélectionner les lauréats et
communique le résultat.

8. Les prix sont remis aux lauréats par le Président de la Société.

Une exposition aura lieu dans la salle Belle Epoque.
Les pauses cafés, le lunch et la réception seront également servis dans cette salle.
Een tentoonstelling zal plaatsvinden in de zaal Belle Epoque
Koffie, lunch en receptie worden ook daar geserveerd.
