TO SCHOOL
NIGHT!
Dear Parents,
We look forward to welcoming you to the Lower School
Back to School Night.
This evening will give you the opportunity to learn more
about your child’s school life, the curriculum and the
events ahead in this school year.
Back to School Night is for general information only. If
you wish to discuss an issue regarding only your child,
please email the teacher to set up an appointment.
We understand that some of you have more than one
child at ISB, so we know you may be in and out of
meetings. There will be handouts prepared by teachers
to help you catch up if you are in another classroom or
unable to attend at all.
Please remember that this evening is for parents and
guardians only: children should not attend. There will be
no garderie.
Schedule:
6:30 to 7:15 PM: Specialist teachers will be available in
the gym.
7:15 to 7:40 PM: General Meeting for Parents in the Gym
 Brief remarks by Richard Ulffers, Head of School,
and Peggy Kirkpatrick, Lower School Division
Director.
 A few words from the PTO.
7:45 to 8:45 PM: Parents go to child’s classroom to meet
with homeroom teachers.

Starting in the Gym
Chers parents,
Nous serons ravis de vous accueillir pour le “Back to
School Night” de l’élémentaire.
Cette soirée vous donnera l’occasion d’en savoir plus sur
la vie scolaire de votre enfant, sur le programme et sur
les événements de l’année.
Cette rencontre s’adresse à tous les parents en général.
Si vous désirez discuter d’un sujet ne concernant que
votre enfant, merci d’envoyer un courriel aux professeurs
pour prendre rendez-vous.
Certains d’entre vous ont plusieurs enfants à LIB et
devront se partager entre plusieurs réunions. Sachez que
les professeurs tiendront à votre disposition un feuillet
contenant les informations essentielles pour vous
permettre de ne rien manquer d’important.
Cette réunion ne concerne que les parents. Les enfants
doivent rester à la maison. Il n’y a pas de garderie
prévue.
Programme :
De 18h30 à 19h15, les professeurs d’ESL, de FSL et
l’équipe d’éducation individualisée seront à votre
disposition dans le gymnase.
A 19h15, tous les parents se retrouvent dans le gymnase
pour une brève introduction par le directeur de l’école,
Richard Ulffers, quelques mots par la directrice de
l’élémentaire, Peggy Kirkpatrick ainsi que par
l’association des parents d’élèves.
De 19h45 à 20h45, les parents rencontrent les
professeurs dans la classe de leur enfant.
