A Record Breaker Evening
for Daffodil Ball
On April 24th, Canadian Social Scene’s key event has once again
dazzled for its refinement, luxury, exceptional elegance and its
30,000 Daffodils. Alison Silcoff Events excelled for this 15th anniversary, whose original theme was James Bond. Internationally
renowned designer Dick Walsh got his inspiration from the famous
womanizer to create a dashing décor. Gold painted naked women,
Helicopter, Aston Martin, Martini vodka and beautiful sensuous
women in bikini, were at Windsor Station to stun and delight the
680 guests and the three 2008 Bal co-chairs: Chris Clark, CEO and
Chief partner, Pricewaterhouse Coopers Canada (with Pam Clark);
Paul Lévesque, President and CEO, Pfizer Canada (with Lucie
Jean); and Louis Vachon, president and CEO, Banque Nationale
(with Chantal Carrier).

Numerous diplomats, politicians, researchers, and business people were also present at the sumptuous event. These included: His
Excellency David Wilkins, USA Ambassador in Canada; His Excellency Daniel Jouanneau, French Ambassador in Canada, with
Mrs Odile Jouanneau; Dr Sheldon Elman (Medisys) and Dr Meryl
Elman; Stéphane Crétier (Garda) and Stephany Maillery ; Serge
Godin (CGI) and Ginette Godin ; Dr Richard Levin (McGill University) and Jane Levin ; Justin Trudeau and Sophie Grégoire ; Pierre
Beaudoin (Bombardier) and Hélène Robitaille; Monique F. Léroux
(Mouvement Desjardins) and Marc Léroux ; François Olivier and
Isabelle Marcoux (Transcontinental) ; and Yves Séguin and MarieJosé Nadeau (Hydro-Québec). Thanks to the guests’ impressive
generosity, $2.3 million were raised to the benefit of the Canadian
Cancer Society, a new record in the Ball’s history.

créer un décor de rêve. Femme nue peinte en or, hélicoptère, Aston Martin, martini vodka (agités et non remués), et femmes sensuelles en bikini, s’étaient donné rendez-vous dans la Gare Windsor pour ravir les 680 convives de marque et les trois coprésidents
du Bal 2008, Chris Clark, chef de la direction et associé principal,
PricewaterhouseCoopers Canada (accompagné de Pam Clark) ;
Paul Lévesque, président et chef de la direction, Pfizer Canada (accompagné de Lucie Jean); et Louis Vachon, président et chef de la
direction, Banque Nationale (accompagné de Chantal Carrier).

étaient également présents, parmi lesquels y figuraient: M. David
