Culture 2000 – Implementation 2004 6 Annual cooperation projects supported in the field of Cultural Heritage in Third Countries 1) Wohnkulturen, culture of living Country: AUSTRIA AT-DE-IT-NL-UK Project Dates: 1/07/2004 - 30/06/2005 Description: The project aims to analyse and and emphasise ways in which we we may live in the future. The activities planned are the installation of the project home page on the internet, an exhibition with accompanying catalogue, workshops and seminars where 70 experts from 9 European countries and 5 Asian countries will meet for 14 days in February 2005, and the production of a DVD film. Objectives: The project aims are: to present European culture of living to the public in South- East Asia; to present the South- East Asian culture of living and compare it to the European example; to develop, support and help to realise new ways of living on the basis of precisely analysing the traditional culture of living; to enable common iniatives and exchange of experiences, encouraging cooperation and promoting cultural dialogue. Community grant: € 150.000,00 2) European Children's Literary Festival in Iran Country: AUSTRIA AT-DE-FI-NO-SE Project Dates: 3/05/2004 - 2/05/2005 Description: The Children's Literary Festival in Tehran will organise several different activities. There will be performances of children's stories by Iranian children and European theatre companies, a seminar on the history of children's literarture, a workshop on literature for teenagers, a drawing workshop for children and teenagers, an event entitled "The Night of the Storyteller" exploring new ways of storytelling, a presentation of the festival on the internet, the showing of film versions of European children's stories and an exhibition of European and Iranian children's books. Objectives: The project has four aims. First, to present European children's literature in an event easily accessible to an Iranian audience from all social classes. Second, to promote young artists and cultural activists. Third, to initiate an exchange of experiences of artists/ cultural activists from different countries, making cultural diversity visible and searching for common roots. And finally, to look for new means of intercultural dialogue, promoting mutual cultural exhange between the EU and Iran. Entre tradition et modernité. Inventaire d'un patrimoine matériel et immatériel. Inventaire des collections exposées et en réserve au Musée d'Art africain de Dakar ; projet pilote d'ethnomédecine (base de données regroupant l'ensemble des traditions orales relatives à l'art de guérir dans la culture africaine ; formation de personnel pour mener à bien inventaire et enquêtes ; expositions thématiques et réalisation de matériel pédagogique ; activités de recherche dans divers domaines : études iconographiques, rôle de la médecine traditionnelle dans les structures de santé...
