Née en 1962, Khadija Alami est diplômée en Sciences Economiques de l’Université de Lille I (France).
Elle débute son parcours dans le cinéma en 1986, tout comme Zakaria Alaoui, en tant qu’assistante
de production dans le film ISHTAR d’Ellen May. En 1998, elle crée sa propre société de production, K
FILMS, qui lui permet d’assurer la production exécutive de plus d’une quarantaine de productions
cinématographiques étrangères. Elle s’investit également dans la production nationale en produisant
notamment :
Born in 1962, Khadija Alami graduated in economic sciences from the University of Lille, northern
France. Like Zakaria Alaoui, she began her film industry career in 1986 as production assistant on the

Né le 17 avril 1956, Zakaria Alaoui intègre le Centre Cinématographique Marocain avant de se lancer
dans la production étrangère en 1986. Il entame sa carrière dans le film ISHTAR d’Ellen May et
enchaine avec plus de 80 productions étrangères, d’abord en tant qu’assistant à la production, et par
la suite en tant que Directeur de Production et Producteur Exécutif. Il crée sa société Zak Productions
en 1995 et s’investit également dans la production nationale, en coproduisant 3 longs métrages ;
MONA SABER (2002) de Abdelhay Laraki, TISSÉ DE MAINS ET D’ÉTOFFES (2007) de Omar Chraibi, et
KHARBOUCHA (2008) de Hamid Zoughi. Il produit également 3 courts métrages de Hassan Benchlikha
en 2004 ; LA CEINTURE EN OR, BOITE AUX LETTRES et B’RAA OU KHEIT.
Born on 17 April 1956, Zakaria Alaoui joined the Moroccan Cinema Center before starting work as a
producer on visiting foreign shoots in 1986. His career began with ISHTAR by Elaine May, and he has
since worked on more than 80 overseas movies, first as production liaison, then later as line producer
or production manager. He founded his own company, Zak Productions, in 1995 and began to invest
in local production, coproducing three feature films: MONA SABER (2002) by Abdelhay Laraki, TISSÉE
DE MAINS ET D’ETOFFE (2007) by Omar Chraibi, and KHARBOUCHA (2008) by Hamid Zoughi. He also
produced three short films in 2004 by Hassan Benchlikha; LA CEINTURE EN OR, BOÎTE AUX LETTRES
and B’RAA OU KHEIT.

Considéré comme l’une des plus grandes stars égyptiennes, Adel Imam se fait connaître du grand
public sur les planches dans la pièce de théâtre « L’école des rebelles/cancres ». Il commence sa
carrière très jeune et côtoie dès lors les plus grands noms de la scène de l’époque, comme Ismail
Yassin. Sa filmographie impressionnante de plus d’une centaine de titres débutée dans les années
1960 et poursuivie jusqu’à aujourd‘hui, témoigne de la richesse et de l’éclectisme de son talent : à
travers des films où il interprète des victimes de l’injustice et de la pauvreté et où se mêlent humour
et tristesse, il dénonce le fanatisme religieux et les extrémistes, comme dans LE TERRORISTE de
Nader Galal. Acteur discret n’hésitant pas à aborder à travers ses rôles des sujets politiques et à
défendre les minorités, il tient notamment le rôle principal du film L’IMMEUBLE YACOUBIAN de
Marwan Hamed.
Considered one of the great stars of Egypt, Adel Imam first came to public attention on stage in the
play “School for Rebels/Dunces”. He started his career very young, and worked alongside the biggest
names in theater at the time, such as Ismail Yassin. His extensive filmography includes around 100
titles, from the 1960s until the present day, and is a testament to the richness and eclecticism of his
talent. He manages to combine humor and sadness to denounce religious fanaticism and extremists
through films in which he plays victims of injustice and poverty, such as THE TERRORIST by Nader
Galal. A discreet actor who never hesitates to tackle political subjects and to defend minorities, he
notably played the lead in THE YACOUBIAN BUILDING by Marwan Hamed.

Avec une carrière cinématographique qui s’étend sur plus de 30 ans, le comédien britannique Jeremy
Irons est l’un des visages les plus appréciés des cinéphiles du monde entier. Parallèlement à une
riche carrière sur les planches, il alterne les films à gros budget et les films d’auteur, imposant
rapidement ses compositions de personnages souvent froids et inquiétants, et enchaîne les rôles

With a movie career spanning more than three decades, Jeremy Irons is one of the best-loved actors
among film fans the world over. In parallel to a rich career on stage, he has alternated big-budget
movies and auteur films, leaving his own inimitable stamp on characters who are often chilling and
disturbing. He has worked with many of the great directors: as a Jesuit priest in THE MISSION by
Roland Joffé, a doctor slipping into madness in DEAD RINGERS by David Cronenberg, a man accused
of killing his wife in REVERSAL OF FORTUNE by Barbet Schroeder (which won him the Oscar for Best
Actor in 1990), the title role in Steven Soderbergh’s portrait of the writer KAFKA, a politician

Révélé au grand public grâce à son rôle d’un jeune Amish dans WITNESS de Peter Weir, Viggo
Mortensen accède véritablement à la reconnaissance internationale grâce au personnage d’Aragorn
dans la trilogie du SEIGNEUR DES ANNEAUX de Peter Jackson. Il est plébiscité dans une quarantaine
de films, collabore à trois reprises avec David Cronenberg (A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, LES PROMESSES
DE L’OMBRE, A DANGEROUS METHOD), se frotte à un cinéma d’auteur exigeant (PSYCHO de Gus Van
Sant, JAUJA de Lisandro Alonso), et endosse aussi bien les habits d’un soldat dans l’Espagne du Siècle
d’ or (CAPITAINE ALATRISTE d’Agustin Diaz Yanes) que ceux d’un père essayant de protéger son fils
dans un monde post-apocalyptique (LA ROUTE de John Hillcoat)…
Viggo Mortensen’s breakthrough role was as a young Amish man in WITNESS by Peter Weir, but he
became a major international star thanks to his performance as Aragorn in the LORD OF THE RINGS
trilogy by Peter Jackson. He has starred in some 40 critically acclaimed movies, three of them with
David Cronenberg (A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE, EASTERN PROMISES, A DANGEROUS METHOD). He
moves effortlessly from demanding auteur works (PSYCHO by Gus Van Sant, JAUJA by Lisandro
Alonso) to action roles, like that of a soldier in the Spanish Golden Age (CAPTAIN ALATRISTE by

Né en 1962 à Tokyo (Japon), il est diplômé de l’université Waseda en 1987, puis rejoint la société TV
Man Union, où il travaille principalement sur des documentaires. En 1995, son premier long métrage,
Maborosi remporte l’Osella d’or au Festival de Venise ainsi que de nombreuses autres récompenses
internationales, faisant connaître le nom du jeune réalisateur dans le monde entier. Son film suivant,
After Life (1998) remporte le Grand Prix du Festival des 3 Continents de Nantes, ainsi qu’un prix au
Festival du Cinéma indépendant de Buenos Aires. Le film connaît un grand succès et il est distribué
dans trente pays. En 2001, Distance est présenté en Compétition au Festival de Cannes. Tout comme
Nobody Knows en 2004, pour lequel l’acteur principal Yuya Yagira devient le premier Japonais et le
plus jeune lauréat du Prix d’Interprétation masculine, faisant ainsi la une des journaux du monde
entier. En 2006, Kore-Eda met en scène son premier film en costumes, Hana. Deux ans plus tard, Still
Walking est très bien accueilli au Japon comme à l’étranger, et obtient de nombreux prix en Europe
et en Asie. Kore-Eda réalise également en 2008 un documentaire sur la tournée de Cocco. En 2009, il
explore avec son film Air Doll des territoires inconnus en adaptant au cinéma les mangas de Yoshie
Goda. Ce film est projeté en Sélection officielle -Un Certain Regard au Festival de Cannes ainsi qu’aux
festivals de Toronto, Chicago et Amsterdam. En 2011, I Wish -Nos vœux secrets remporte le Prix du
Meilleur Scénario au 59e Festival de Saint-Sébastien. Et le Jury du Festival de Cannes 2013, présidé
par le réalisateur Steven Spielberg, attribue son Prix du Jury à son dernier film, Tel père, tel fils. KoreEda participe également en tant que producteur aux films de jeunes réalisateurs comme Miwa
Nishikawa-Wild Berries (2003), Sway (2006) -ou Mami Sunada-Ending Note : Death of a Japanese
Salesman (2011, documentaire). En 2013, la 13e édition du Festival International du Film de
Marrakech lui rend hommage en sa présence.
Born in 1962 in Tokyo (Japan), he graduated from the University of Waseda in 1987 before joining the
TV Man Union company where he mainly worked on documentaries. In 1995, his first feature,
Maborosi, won the Golden Osella at the Venice Film Festival, as well as numerous other international
awards that helped boost the young director’s international profile. His next film, After Life (1998),
won the Grand Prize of the Three Continents Film Festival in Nantes, as well as a prize from the
Buenos Aires Festival of Independent Cinema. The film was a hit and was distributed in 30 countries.
In 2001, Distance screened in Competition at the Festival de Cannes, as did Nobody Knows in 2004,

Best Actor Prize, thus making headlines around the world. In 2006, Kore-Eda directed his first costume
drama Hana. Two years later, Still Walking was very well received in Japan and abroad, and won
numerous prizes in Europe and Asia. In 2008 Kore-Eda also made a documentary about singer Cocco’s
live tour. In 2009, he explored unknown territory in Air Doll, an adaptation of Yoshie Goda’s mangas.
The film screened in the Un Certain Regard sidebar section of the Official Selection at the Festival de
Cannes as well as at festivals in Toronto, Chicago and Amsterdam. In 2011, I Wish won Best
Screenplay at the San Sebastián Film Festival, and his latest movie, Like Father, Like Son scooped the
Jury Prize at the Festival de Cannes in 2013. Kore-Eda has also produced films from young directors
including Miwa Nishikawa (Wild Berries in 2003 and Sway in 2006) and Mami Sunada who directed
the documentary Ending Note: Death of a Japanese Salesman in 2011. The Marrakech International
Film Festival paid the director a Tribute in 2013 on the occasion of its 13th edition.

de lui l'un des chantres de la nouvelle vague japonaise, avec un genre de prédilection : le fantastique.

Yehia sort de ses cinq années d’isolement volontaire pour reprendre du service à l’hôpital
psychiatrique d’Al Abasya, où il est chargé d’évaluer l’état de santé mentale de criminels. Ses
retrouvailles avec une vieille connaissance l’amènent à se remémorer des souvenirs amers qu’il
s’était efforcé, non sans mal, d’oublier. Alors qu’il tente de percer les nombreux mystères qui
entourent aujourd’hui son ami, Yehia en vient à sonder ses propres zones d’ombre jusqu’au plus
profond de son être, ou, du moins, de ce qu’il semble en rester.
Yehia returns to work in Al Abasyia Psychiatric Hospital, after spending five years in voluntary
isolation. He works in the sector which examines the mental health of perpetrators and encounters an
old friend who brings back bitter memories that he tried hard to forget. Attempting to unravel the
mysteries of his friend, Yehia embarks on a journey exploring his inner self, or the shattered remnants
of it.

propriétaire de l'auberge, dont le frère Kota est un véritable coureur de jupons. Ce qui contrarie
fortement Tomoharu, tombé amoureux de Karin, ou même Maki, jalouse de la popularité de cette
dernière auprès des garçons. Le dîner de ce soir-là est alors l’occasion d’assister à la confrontation
violente et néanmoins silencieuse des sentiments de chacun…
Tomoharu works as a part time employee at “Chigasaki-kan”, a Japanese inn with a 115-year history.
Along with his co-workers Maki and Karin, he attends the wedding of Risa, the hotel owner's
daughter. The bride's brother, Kota, is a playboy, which is not to Tomoharu's liking as he has fallen in
love with Karin. On the other hand, Maki is upset with Karin’s popularity among the boys. That night,
during dinner time, these emotions crossover and silently clash into each other…

de tout, pour quatre mois de travaux forcés. Dès son arrivée, il est enfermé dans une cage pour chien
par trois autres adolescents hébergés sur place, violents et agressifs, sur qui le fermier censé les
encadrer a perdu toute autorité : l’imprévisible et hargneux Anton qui y fait désormais la loi ; Dion,
un garçon d’origine serbe ; et Aline, une jeune fille aux cheveux coupés ras. Matteo est leur chien
mais, en s’opposant frontalement à eux, il finit par gagner leur respect. Une nuit, il se joint au groupe
pour l’une de ses escapades en ville. Une nuit fiévreuse, emplie de violence et de destruction. Leur
guerre à eux.
Matteo is fifteen, he runs in the woods carrying his baby brother, a desperate attempt to strike his
oppressive father. He is brought to a remote farm in the mountains for a correctional stay, four
months of hard work. But on arrival, three hostile teenagers grab Matteo and lock him into a dog
cage. The farmer, supposed to handle the kids, has lost control, Anton, an unpredictably aggressive
boy, is now in charge. He has given shelter to two more troubled, angry teenagers: Dion, a boy from
Serbia and Aline, a girl with short cut hair, Matteo is their dog, only when he starts to stand up
against them he earns their respect. He joins them on a mission, they drive down to the city, a
feverish night full of violence and destruction. Their war.

Lena est une jeune adolescente handicapée brillante, pressée de retourner sur les bancs de l’école
après des années de déscolarisation. Elle rejoint une classe adaptée aux élèves atteints de troubles
physiques ou mentaux. À la fin de l’année, chacun doit se présenter devant une commission
pédagogique qui évalue son aptitude éventuelle à poursuivre ses études dans une classe dite
« normale ». Pourtant les enseignants ne semblent ni chercher à motiver leurs élèves, ni à les aider à
progresser, allant même jusqu’à calmer les ardeurs de Lena lorsqu’elle prétend vouloir aborder des
sujets plus complexes. La jeune fille réussit néanmoins à s’intégrer dans la vie de l’école, mais le
bonheur qu’elle affiche avec Anton, l’un de ses camarades de classe, n’est pas du goût de tout le
monde. Ni sans conséquences…
Lena is a bright, disabled girl who, after years spent studying at home, is keen to get back to school.
She is assigned to a special class for disabled pupils who have to present themselves before a school
commission at the end of the year in order to prove that they merit being moved back into a “normal”
class. Her enervated teachers, however, show absolutely no desire to motivate the students and help
them improve; on the contrary, they try to quash right from the start any interest Lena shows in more
complex study material. Nevertheless, Lena soon involves herself in the school routine and gets
together with classmate Anton. Yet their transparent happiness isn’t to everyone’s liking and
repercussions soon follow...

Joueur de football d’origine africaine, Francis se retrouve avec la police aux trousses pour avoir
truqué un match. Il se réfugie dans une ferme de l’un des parrains de la pègre locale, située au beau
milieu de la « pusta » hongroise. Peu après son arrivée, Francis réalise qu’on y pratique une forme
d’esclavagisme moderne. Sa seule présence au milieu des ouvriers va alors provoquer une succession
d’événements, jusqu’à amener le groupe à se rebeller violemment contre les crimes et autres abus
de ses maîtres. C’est bien le match le plus important pour Francis, héros malgré lui, qui se joue ici. Et
ce sont sa liberté et sa vie même qui y sont mises en jeu.
Fleeing from the police after fixing a match, Francis, an African football player, seeks refuge in a
ranch run by a local crime boss in the middle of the vast Hungarian plains known as the “pusta”. He
soon realizes that the workers there are little more than slaves. His presence on the ranch begins a
chain of events that culminates in violent rebellion by the workers against their criminal overlords. A
reluctant hero, Francis finds himself playing in the most important match of his life, with his freedom
and his very life at stake.

descend au village tous les deux jours. L’ombre de la guerre s’étend progressivement sur la région et
les habitants abandonnent peu à peu leur village. À la mort d’Iskender, Nabat se retrouve à vivre
dans un lieu aujourd’hui déserté par les hommes, mais sous le regard d'une louve...
Nabat and her husband Iskender, an old and sick ex-forestry worker, live in a small isolated house far
from the village. War has been raging for some time and their son has been killed at the front. Their
sole means of survival is the sale of milk from their only cow that Nabat takes to the village every
couple of days. As the shadow of war envelopes the region, the village is slowly deserted by its
inhabitants. Following Iskender’s death, Nabat has to survive in a now-abandoned village under the
regard of a she-wolf...

Au printemps 1988, un enfant sauvage élevé parmi les loups est retrouvé au beau milieu de la forêt
bosniaque. Au hasard, on le prénomme Haris. Il est envoyé dans un orphelinat de Belgrade où il
rencontre Zika, un autre garçon de l'institution dont il devient rapidement inséparable. Haris y fait de
réels progrès. Jusqu'en 1992 où Haris, aujourd'hui bien intégré dans la société, est renvoyé de force
par les autorités locales vers la Bosnie alors déchirée par la guerre.
In the spring of 1988 a wild boy is found deep in the Bosnian mountains living amongst wolves. He is
randomly given the name Haris and sent to an orphanage in Belgrade. He becomes inseparable with
another boy, Žika, and slowly starts to show progress. In 1992, after becoming a fairly socialised
young man, local authorities force him to go back to war-torn Bosnia.

Dans les premières années du règne d’Hassan II, Houcine, fan de son nouveau roi, est le chef d’un
orchestre populaire. Lui et sa femme, Halima, habitent dans la maison de famille de celle-ci, une
maison animée, aux personnages hauts en couleurs qui vivent au rythme de l’orchestre et de ses
danseuses traditionnelles, les Chikhates. Les musiciens-hommes de cet orchestre bien particulier
sont parfois obligés de se faire passer pour des aveugles afin de pouvoir jouer dans les fêtes
uniquement réservées aux femmes, organisées par des familles marocaines conservatrices. Houcine
est également l’heureux père de Mimou. Il prend son rôle très à cœur et souhaite le meilleur pour
son fils. Dès l’école primaire, il lui impose d’être le premier de sa classe. Mais Mimou va rapidement
tomber amoureux de Chama, la nouvelle bonne de leur voisine, et pour ne pas décevoir son père, il
va tricher en falsifiant son bulletin de notes...
In the early years of the reign of Hassan II, Houcine, fan of his new king, is the leader of a popular
band. He lives with his wife Halima in her family home, a place of lively cohabitation, a gallery of
colorful characters that cross the rhythm of life of the orchestra and its traditional dancers, the
Chikhates. In this particular band, male musicians are forced to pretend to be blind in order to play in
Moroccan conservative family homes at parties reserved for women.Houcine is also Mimou’s happy
father. He is very involved in his first born son’s education and wants the best for him. But Mimou will
fall in love with Chama, the neighbor’s new servant. Dreams and reality confuse, Mimou cannot
concentrate at school and not to disappoint his father, he decides to cheat by falsifying his report
cards…

Based on true events, the 69-ton stow net fishing boat’s crew attempt to smuggle in illegal migrants
in order to keep their fishing jobs. But their plan goes wrong when they meet a tragic accident while
transporting the thirty or so illegal migrants on the ship through the heavy sea fog. And amid the
chaos, the youngest crewman, Dong-sik, tries to protect a female migrant - who he has fallen in love
with - against the crazed Captain Kang and other crew members.

L’histoire extraordinaire de l’un des cerveaux les plus brillants de notre temps, l’astrophysicien

chaos de Tombouctou. Mais leur destin bascule le jour où Kidane tue accidentellement Amadou, le
pêcheur qui s'en est pris à GPS, sa vache préférée. Il doit alors faire face aux nouvelles lois de ces
occupants venus d’ailleurs…
Not far from Timbuktu, now ruled by the religious fundamentalists, Kidane lives peacefully in the

suffer, powerless, from the regime of terror imposed by the Jihadists determined to control their faith.
Music, laughter, cigarettes, even soccer have been banned. The women have become shadows but
resist with dignity. Every day, the new improvised courts issue tragic and absurd sentences. Kidane
and his family are being spared by the chaos that prevails in Timbuktu. But their destiny changes
when Kidane accidentally kills Amadou, the fisherman who slaughtered GPS, his beloved cow. He now
has to face the new laws of the foreign occupants...

de 1982 Disco Dancer, qu’il a découvert le jour du décès de son père, et dont il se prend à singer les
moindres détails : look, chorégraphie, coiffure, démarche, expressions…
Cinema is very colorfoul for some people, but for Jimmy it is simply a lifestyle. He is a young
Moroccan, about thirty, who lives in a shantytown in Morocco. Jimmy embellishes his daily life of
depravity, social and affective misery by taking refuge in an imaginary world where disco, elephants
and Indian palaces get all mixed up. He inherited this world and his passion for Bollywood from his
late father who was a projectionist. Jimmy devotes a never-ending cult to the 1982 movie Disco
Dancer that he discovered on the day his father died and that he apes down to the last detail: look,
dance, hairstyle, walk, expressions…

missing brother. The group embarks on a journey that will lead them across Morocco, to Istanbul, the

Bille August emerged as a key figure in Danish cinema with IN MY LIFE (1979), and especially with
TWIST & SHOUT (1985). But it was the Festival de Cannes which thrust the filmmaker into the
international spotlight, where he won the Palme d'Or twice in the space of four years. The first was
with PELLE THE CONQUEROR in 1988, which also won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film; the
second in 1992 with THE BEST INTENTIONS, based on an autobiographical script by Ingmar Bergman,
and which saw his classical style of cinema, often dealing with difficult childhoods, reaching its peak.
With HOUSE OF THE SPIRITS (1993), Bille August transposed Isabel Allende’s novel to the big screen
for his first Hollywood movie, starring Meryl Streep, Glenn Close and Jeremy Irons. This was the start
of a series of adaptations of best-sellers, including SMILLA’S SENSE OF SNOW (1996) based on Peter

Benoit Jacquot choisit de porter à l'écran un roman de Dostoïevski pour son premier long métrage,
L'ASSASSIN MUSICIEN en 1975. Inspiré ensuite par la débutante Judith Godrèche, il signe LA
DESENCHANTÉE (1990), portrait d'une adolescente exaltée. C'est autour d'une autre jeune
comédienne, Virginie Ledoyen, qu'il construit LA FILLE SEULE (1995), œuvre qui lui vaut les éloges de
la presse. Avec LE SEPTIÈME CIEL, il fait un pas vers le grand public et dès lors, tous se bousculent
pour être devant sa caméra : Isabelle Huppert (L'ÉCOLE DE LA CHAIR, présenté à Cannes en 1998),
Isabelle Adjani (ADOLPHE), Catherine Deneuve (PRINCESSE MARIE). Bien que le sentiment amoureux
soit son thème de prédilection, il fait preuve d'un éclectisme rare avec les films LA FAUSSE SUIVANTE
(1999), SADE (2000) et TOSCA (2001). En 2004, il surprend encore en tournant en noir et blanc À
TOUT DE SUITE, récit d'une cavale interprété par Isild Le Besco, sa nouvelle muse, qu'il retrouve pour
L'INTOUCHABLE, présenté à Venise en 2006. Il entreprend ensuite un voyage pour une île d'Italie, à
l'occasion de VILLA AMALIA (2008), adaptation du roman de Pascal Quignard, qui marque ses
retrouvailles avec Isabelle Huppert. En 2011, le cinéaste signe LES ADIEUX À LA REINE, fiction
historique qui relate les derniers jours de la Reine Marie-Antoinette, et qui lui vaut le prix LouisDelluc du Meilleur Film, en plus de ses trois nominations aux Césars. Après avoir esquissé nombre de
portraits de femmes, il met en scène le chassé-croisé contemporain 3 COEURS (2014) avec un
premier rôle masculin écrit pour Benoît Poelvoorde, accompagné de Charlotte Gainsbourg, Chiara
Mastroianni et Catherine Deneuve.

picture À TOUT DE SUITE, the story of a rich kid on a crime spree played by Isild Le Besco, his new
muse, whom he worked with again for THE UNTOUCHABLE, presented in Venice in 2006. He then
undertook a journey to an Italian island to make VILLA AMALIA (2008), an adaptation of the novel by
Pascal Quignard, which found him working with Isabelle Huppert again. In 2011, he directed
FAREWELL, MY QUEEN, an historical drama about the last days of Marie-Antoinette, for which he
won the Prix Louis-Delluc, along with three César nominations. Having produced many portraits of
women, he directed the contemporary relationship drama THREE HEARTS (2014) with, for the first
time, a male lead written for Benoît Poelvoorde, alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg, Chiara Mastroianni
and Catherine Deneuve.

Dès son premier film, ACTION MUTANTE en 1992, Álex de la Iglesia remporte 3 Goyas (l'équivalent
espagnol des César) et acquiert une renommée internationale. Fort de ce succès, il enchaîne les films
décalés et souvent empreints d’humour noir : LE JOUR DE LA BÊTE (1996), MES CHERS VOISINS
(2000) ou encore LE CRIME FARPAIT (2004). Il multiplie les récompenses aux Goyas et dans de
nombreux festivals internationaux, et après un détour par Hollywood avec CRIMES À OXFORD, dans
lequel il dirige John Hurt et Elijah Wood, il signe une œuvre très personnelle, BALADA TRISTE, Lion
d'Argent au Festival de Venise en 2010. Après UN JOUR DE CHANCE en 2011, il revient au fantastique
en signant LES SORCIÈRES DE ZUGGARAMURDI, grand succès au box-office espagnol. En 2009, Álex
de la Iglesia prend la Présidence de l'Académie du Cinéma Espagnol, l'instance responsable des
Goyas. Il quitte cette fonction en 2011 suite à son opposition virulente à l'équivalent espagnol de
notre loi Hadopi et consacre alors son discours de clôture de la Cérémonie des Goyas à la défense
d'internet dans l'économie culturelle.
With his first film in 1992, ACTION MUTANTE, Álex de la Iglesia won three Goya awards (the Spanish
Oscars) and acquired instant international recognition. Building on this success, he made a series of
offbeat movies, often notable for their dark humor, including THE DAY OF THE BEAST (1996),
COMMON WEALTH (2000) and THE PERFECT CRIME (2004). He continued to rack up Goyas and other
awards from international festivals, then after a foray into Hollywood to make THE OXFORD
MURDERS starring John Hurt and Elijah Wood, he made the highly personal work THE LAST CIRCUS,
which scooped the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival in 2010. After AS LUCK WOULD HAVE IT in
2011, he returned to the fantastic genre with WITCHING AND BITCHING, a huge box-office hit in
Spain. In 2009, Álex de la Iglesia became President of the Spanish Film Academy, the body which
organizes the Goya awards. He left the post in 2011 in the wake of his fierce opposition to Spain’s law
on copyright protection on the web, and used his closing speech at the Goyas ceremony to speak in
defense of the internet in the cultural economy.

en braille et en trois langues (arabe, français et anglais) par l’Organisation Alaouite pour la Protection
des Aveugles au Maroc.
Following the example of previous editions, the blind and partially sighted guests of the Festival
coming from all around the Kingdom are entirely taken care of by the Foundation, thus allowing them
to attend the screenings with audio-description of the seventh selected films. The Alaouite
Organisation for the Protection of the Blind in Morocco offers the Braille leaflets in three languages
(Arabic, French & English) listing the synopsis of the audio-described films

Marrakech se prépare à une valse de robes de soirée, de stars de cinéma et de montées des marches
sous les flashs des photographes. Du 5 au 13 décembre, le Festival du Film fera rêver la ville rouge.
Le Cinéma Japonais sera cette année la vedette du Festival. Succédant au monstre sacré du cinéma
Martin Scorsese, c’est la talentueuse comédienne Française Isabelle Huppert qui présidera le jury.
Comme chaque année, le Festival rendra des hommages à de grands acteurs et notamment à
l’Egyptien Adel Imam, au Britannique Jeremy Irons et à l’Américain Viggo Mortensen.
Le Es Saadi Gardens & Resort, en tant que partenaire Platinium du Festival, aura le plaisir de
recevoir au Palace et dans les Villas des personnalités du 7ème art et des équipes de films.

films d’auteur français chaque jeudi sur France 3, le Pitch et Le Cinéma de minuit
- La soirée du mercredi sur France 4 avec Mercredi c’est ciné en première partie de soirée suivi de
Ciné 1D, le seul rendez-vous du PAF consacré au cinéma indépendant et celle du dimanche soir avec
