Rouen 1st – 4th July 2009
Rouen is about 130 kilometers from Paris. The town, which is listed “town of art and history”, has a
railway station and an airport served by the company Air-France-Brit’Air.
It is at the heart of the town “with a hundred church towers”, at the Hôtel de Région du Conseil
Régional de Haute Normandie, that the symposium will take place from the 1st to the 4th July 2009.

HOW TO GET TO ROUEN ?
FROM PARIS
The Gare Saint Lazare is the only Parisian railway station that serves “Rouen Rive Droite”.
How to get to the Gare Saint-Lazare (Paris)
From Charles de Gaulle airport
Go to the metro station RER, either on foot or by the RATP bus (depending on the terminal at which you
arrive) then take the RER B towards “Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse”.
Get off at “Châtelet-les-Halles”.
Take the number 14 metro towards “Saint-Lazare”.
Get off at “Saint-Lazare” (the terminus).
The journey takes : 50 minutes

From Orly airport
Take the shuttle towards “Pont de Rungis Aéroport d’Orly RER” at the bus stop Orly Sud and stop at the
terminus of the shuttle.
Take the RER towards “Pontoise” and get off at the station “Bibliothèque François Mitterrand”.
Take the number 14 metro towards “Saint-Lazare” and get off at the terminus
The journey takes : 51 minutes
Cost : 3.60 €
From the “gare de l’Est”
Go to the metro station of the gare de l’Est (Verdun).
Take the number 7 metro towards “Villejuif-Louis Aragon”.
Get off at the station “Chaussée d’Antin (La Fayette)”.
Walk to Saint Lazare station.
The journey takes : 9 minutes
From the “gare du Nord”
Go to the station RER Magenta.
Take the RER E towards “Haussmann Saint-Lazare”.
Get off at “Haussmann Saint-Lazare”.
Walk to Saint Lazare station.
The journey takes : 14 minutes
From the “gare de Lyon”
Go to the metro of the Gare de Lyon.
Take the number 14 metro towards “Saint Lazare”.
Get off at “Saint Lazare” station (the terminus).
The journey takes : 15 minutes
FROM BEAUVAIS AIRPORT
The easiest solution : via Paris :
Take the bus at Beauvais airport which serves as the link between the airport and Paris (Porte Maillot).
In Paris, take the bus 43, towards “Gare du Nord” at the “Place Du Général Koenig-Palais Des
Congrès”. This bus stop is about twenty meters away on the other side of the street (Avenue des
Ternes).
Get off at “Saint Augustin” and walk to Saint Lazare station.
The journey takes : 1h15 (airport-Porte de Maillot)
25 minutes (porte de Maillot-Saint Lazare)
1h10 (Saint Lazare-Rouen)
The cost from Beauvais airport to porte de Maillot :13€
From porte de Maillot to Saint-Lazare :1.60€

FROM ROUEN-VALLÉE DE SEINE AIRPORT
The taxi is the most simple mean to go to the centre of Rouen because there is no bus stop close to the
airport.

Bus :
The bus number 13 of the TCAR company links the airport with the centre of Rouen.
The nearest bus stop to the airport : “Ecole de Musique BOOS” (terminus).
To go to the centre of Rouen take the bus going to “Préfecture”.
In the town centre, the bus stops at “Hôtel de Ville”, “Beaux-Arts”, “Gare Rue Verte”.
To go to the airport, take the bus going to “Ecole de Musique BOOS” and get of at that stop.
The journey takes : 40 minutes, cost : 1.40€

The same ticket is used for the bus and the metro.
The tickets “1 voyage” can be used for 1 hour on the buses and the metro, cost 1.40€
The tickets “Sésame” can be used for 10 different journeys over a period of 7 days maximum, cost
9€.
The tickets “Découverte” are valid until midnight as from the first time they are used, for the number
of days chosen (1, 2 or 3 consecutive days). The number of journeys is unlimited :
1 day = 4€ ;2 days = 6€ ; 3 days = 7.50€
