pascal schäfer, der jüngst sein debüt-album "dawn", sowie bereits ende 2003 seine ep "melody express" auf karaoke kalk veröffentlicht hat, macht nun mit der "rythmes ep" den anfang der kalk pets-serie. "mystére", "poupée" und "l'orgue" heißen die drei stücke,
die ungefähr da anschließen, wo "melody express" aufgehört hat.
mit kalk pets wird eine weitere plattform für die musiker, die man von karaoke kalk her kennt, und ihre eigenwillige musikidee, ja für
die ihnen eigene vielschichtigkeit geschaffen. aber eben nicht nur für die musiker, sondern auch für das label an sich, bietet kalk
pets neue möglichkeiten: kalk-typisch, aber jetzt auch irgendwo ganz klar zum tanzen gedacht und gemacht.
jedoch werden es sicherlich nicht nur einige der uns bekannten karaoke kalk acts sein, die sich in zukunft auf den uns hin und wieder begegnenden releases bei kalk pets wiederfinden werden. mit sicherheit wird es da noch den ein oder anderen unbekannten
namen geben, auf den wir jetzt schon gespannt sein dürfen.
so here it is, the first release on kalk pets, the new sub-label under the roof of karaoke kalk.
pascal schäfer, who has already released his recent debut album 'dawn' as well as his 2003 ep 'melody express' on karaoke kalk,
starts the kalk pets series with his 'rythmes ep'. the three tracks are called 'mystére', 'poupée' and 'l'orgue' and take up roughly
where 'melody express' ended.
with kalk pets, there has been established another platform for the artists we already know from karaoke kalk, for their individualistic
idea of music and their characteristic complexity. in addition, kalk pets opens up new possibilities for the label itself, offering a
brand name saying: somehow kalk-ish, yet definitely meant and made for the dance floor.
however, it's not only some of the already known karaoke kalk acts who will be appearing on the occasional kalk pets releases there'll certainly be one or the other as yet unknown name to look forward to.
