Medidas de las tablas de surf
Las medidas de las tablas de surf se expresan en el sistema métrico anglosajón, es decir, en
pies y en pulgadas. La conversión a nuestro sistema métrico sería el siguiente: 1 pie = 30,6
cm, 1 pulgada = 23 mm.
Surfboard measurements
Surfboards are measured in feet and inches. The conversion to the metric system works out at 1 foot
=30,6 cm and 1 inch = 23 mm.

Sie werden im angelsächsischen und metrischen System angegeben, in Fuß ausgedrückt und in Zoll.
Die Umwandlung zu unserem metrischen System wäre folgendes: 1 Fuß = 30,6 cm, 1 Zoll = 23 mm.

Es la dimensión, desde la punta hasta la cola, medida en pies a lo largo del
alma (refuerzo de madera que recorre la tabla de arriba a bajo).
Altura
Altura: Una medida estándar adecuada a cada surfero es aquella en la que
la tabla le sobrepase un palmo a su altura.
Peso
eso: Cuanto más pesado seamos necesitaremos una tabla más grande.
Tipo de ola:
· Ola grande:
grande Aumentaremos la longitud de la tabla, y con ello la superficie
de deslizamiento y su volumen.
· Ola peq

ueña: Aquí la maniobrabilidad es básica y por ello buscaremos una
tabla más pequeña.

Height
Height: the standard height tends to be a few inches higher than the surfer’s
height.
Weight
eight: the heavier the surfer and the heavier the board should be.

ave: a longer board is required, increasing the sliding surface and its volume.

Spannweite zu seiner Körperlänge übertrifft.

ROCKER
Es la curva de la tabla desde la punta hasta la cola vista desde el lado. Quizás sea el factor más
importante en el diseño ya que controla la corriente de agua desde que entra hasta que sale.
Cuanto más curva tengamos más fáciles serán los giros canteando y será menos probable que
se clave la tabla, sin embargo este incremento de curva genera una resistencia en el agua que
hace que la tabla sea más lenta.
It referrers to the upward curve of the nose and tail of the board looking at it from the side.
It may be the most significant factor in the board design since it controls the water flow from the
nose, «nose or entry rocker», to the tail, «tail rocker».
More curve, or rocker, increases performance in turns but the increased curve will create more
resistance to the water and make it slower, whereas less rocker will create more speed.
Es ist die Kurve des Surfbrettes von der Spitze bis zum Ende, die von der Seite gesehen wird.
Vielleicht der wichtigste Faktor im Entwurf, es kontrolliert die Strömung des Wassers.

at the nose, centre and tail, normally
measured in inches.

width: it is the maximum width
of the board right in its centre.

width: Those are the last 12 inches
above the tail of the board.
