Zusätzlicher Installationshinweis für den Einbau in Schaltschränke
Dieser Installationshinweis ist eine Ergänzung zum Installationshinweis für das Dräger VarioGard
Zentralgerät. Jede Handhabung an dem Gaswarnsystem setzt die genaue Kenntnis und Beachtung
der Gebrauchsanweisung Dräger VarioGard voraus!
Schaltschrank für die Installation vorbereiten
● In der Schaltschranktür die Befestigungsbohrungen für das Gehäuse-Oberteil

(4 x Ø 3,3 mm oder wahlweise Gewinde M 3 bei einer Schranktürdicke von größer 3 mm)
und den Durchbruch für das Verbindungskabel (mindestens Ø 30 mm) herstellen –
Bohrschablone: siehe hellgrau Darstellung auf der Rückseite.
● Hutschiene (35 mm) an geeigneter Stelle im Schaltschrank befestigen.
Länge des Verbindungskabels vom Gehäuse-Oberteil zur Netzteil-Leiterplatte beachten!
Für den elektrischen Anschluss müssen die Klemmen auf der Netzteil-Leiterplatte zugänglich sein.
Die Schaltschranktür muss sich leicht öffnen und schließen lassen.
VarioGard Zentralgerät für Schaltschrankeinbau montieren
● Verbindungskabel zur Netzteil-Leiterplatte durch den vorbereiteten Durchbruch führen.
● Dichtung zwischen Türblech und Gehäuse-Oberteil des Zentralgerätes zur Einhaltung der
IP Schutzart einsetzen.
● Gehäuse-Oberteil des Zentralgerätes vom außen auf die Schaltschranktür anschrauben

(4 Schrauben M 3 x 16 mm oder M 3 x 20 mm bei einer Schranktürdicke von größer 3 mm
und Durchgangsbohrung).
● Abdeckstreifen aufstecken.
● Netzteil-Leiterplatte auf die Hutschiene setzen bis zum Einrasten.

Zum Abnehmen der Netzteil-Leiterplatte an beiden Verriegelungen ziehen.

Dräger VarioGard Central Unit for Control Cabinet Installation
Additional installation instructions for installation in control cabinets
These installation instructions are supplied as a supplement the Installation Instructions for the
Dräger VarioGard Central Unit. Any handling of the device requires precise knowledge and observation of the Instructions for Use of the Dräger VarioGard.
Preparing the control cabinet for installation
● In the control cabinet door, drill the fixing holes for the top half of the housing (4 x Ø 3.3 mm

or optionally M3 thread for a control cabinet door thicker than 3 mm) and the through-hole
for the connecting cable (minimum Ø 30 mm) –
Drilling template: see pale grey illustration overleaf.
● Fix the DIN top-hat rail (35 mm) in a suitable position inside the control cabinet.
Take into account the length of connecting cable required from the top half of the housing
to the printed circuit board carrying the power supply unit ("PSU card").
The terminals on the PSU card must be accessible for electrical connections.
The control cabinet door must open and close easily.
Installing the VarioGard Central Unit for Control Cabinet Installation
● Feed the connecting cable for the PSU card through the prepared hole.
● Place sealing between door panel and top half of the central unit housing to ensure the IP
protection class.
● Screw the top half of the central unit housing to the control cabinet door from the outside

(4 screws, size M3 x 16 mm or M3 x 20 mm if the control cabinet door is thicker than 3 mm
with a pre-drilled through-hole).
● Fit the cover strip.
● Push the PSU card on to the top-hat rail until it clicks into place.

● Connect the connecting cable from the top half of the housing to the PSU card.

To remove the PSU card, pull on the two locks.
