Welcome to
Nuremberg
Its range of museums is exceptional, its Open Air music is among the
best in Europe, while its numerous shops make it one of the top ten
shopping centers in Germany; its mighty Imperial Castle towers over
modern facades as well as the historic buildings of the Old Town,
and, topping everything, it is a safe and clean environment – that’s
what you can expect of Nuremberg, home to over 510,000 proud
citizens. Welcome to our cosmopolitan, warm-hearted and lovable
city, an attractive place to live!

The Nazi Party Rally Grounds, laid out by Hitler’s National Socialists, is a
permanent reminder to Nuremberg of the city’s obligation to analyze and
discuss the darkest chapter of German history. The Documentation Center
and the Memorium Nuremberg Trials explain on the original historical sites
the causal factors and consequences of the National Socialist reign of terror
as well as the significance of the International Military Tribunal.

The genuine Nuremberg grilled sausages
have been around for over 700 years.
They are traditionally grilled in the sausage restaurants over a beechwood fire
which lends the sausages an additional
aroma. They will be served on a pewter
plate with mustard or horse radish. Typical side dishes are sauerkraut, potato
salad or a slice of coarse rye bread.
