GAUGE: 14 sts and 17 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] in
stocking st.
INSTRUCTIONS
Cast on 160 sts. Join in rnd. Placing a marker on
first st, work 1½ ins [3 cm] in (K2. P2) ribbing.
Knit in rnds until work from beg measures 5 ins
[12.5 cm].
Shape sides: 1st rnd: K2. *Sl1. K1. psso. K72.
K2tog.* K4. Rep from * to * once. K2. 156 sts.
Knit 3 rnds even.
5th rnd: K2. *Sl1. K1. psso. K70. K2tog.* K4. Rep
from * to * once. K2. 152 sts.
Knit 3 rnds even.
9th rnd: K2. *Sl1. K1. psso. K68. K2tog.* K4. Rep
from * to * once. K2. 148 sts.
Knit 3 rnds even.
Cont dec 4 sts on next and following 4th rnds, as
before, until there are 136 sts.
Knit 1 rnd even.
23rd rnd: K2. *Sl1. K1. psso. K60. K2tog.* K4.
Rep from * to * once. K2. 132 sts.
Knit 1 rnd even.
Cont dec 4 sts on next and following alt rnds, as
before, until there are 116 sts, then every row to

With RS facing, join yarn to 48 sts on first st holder
(Back) and work to correspond to Front.
Avec l'END DE L'OUV vers vous, joindre le fil au 48 m
du 1er porte-mailles (Dos) et trav comme pour le devant.
Collar: Sew shoulder seams. With RS facing and set
of 4 needles, K24 from each st holder. Divide 48 sts
evenly on 3 needles. Placing a marker on first st, join
in rnd and work 4½ ins [11.5 cm] in (K2. P2) ribbing.
Cast off in ribbing.
Col: Faire la couture des épaules. Avec l'END DE
L'OUV vers vous et le jeu de quatres aig, 24 end des 2
porte-mailles. Répartir ces 48 m sur 3 aig. En placant
un repère sur la 1re m, joindre en tour et trav 4½ po
[11.5 cm] en côtes (2 end. 2 env). Rab en côtes.
