Kurzbiographie
Dr. Iglhaut studierte Zahnmedizin in den Jahren 1977-1982 an der Justus Liebig Universität in Giessen.
Im Anschluss war er für drei Jahre wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter in der Abteilung Oralchirurgie selbiger
Universität unter Leitung von Prof. H. Kirschner und erlangte die Zusatzbezeichnung Oralchirurgie,
später Tätigkeitsschwerpunkt Implantologie (DGI) und Spezialisten der Parodontologie (EDA). Seit
1987 ist er in freier Praxis in Memmingen niedergelassen.
Dr. Iglhaut referiert national und international in den Bereichen Implantologie, Parodontologie,
plastische Parodontalchirurgie and parodontale Mikrochirurgie, gehört dem Lehrkörper der APW/DGI im
Rahmen der Curricula Implantologie, Ästhetische Zahnheilkunde und Restaurative Zahnheilkunde an.
Er ist Mitglied in zahlreichen zahnärztlichen Organisationen, u.a. American Academy of Esthetic
Dentistry, American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, American Academy of Periodontology, European
Academy of Osseointegration, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Implantologie, Deutsche Gesellschaft für
Parodontologie und Neue Gruppe.
2004 wurde er in den Vorstand der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Implantologie (Fortbildungsreferent)
gewählt und ist aktuell der Vizepräsident der DGI. Seit 2005 ist er Dozent an der Steinbeis-Universität
Berlin in Zusammenarbeit mit der DGI für den Studiengang Master of Science in Implantology, seit
2008 Dozent an der Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen.

Short biography
Dr. Iglhaut studied dentistry at Justus Liebig University, Giessen, between 1977 and 1982. The
following three years he worked as a research scientist at the same university’s Department of Oral
Surgery (Director: Professor H. Kirschner), subsequently Professional Focus on Oral Implantology (DGI)
and Specialist for Periodontology (EDA). Since 1987, he has been working in private practice in
Memmingen.
Dr Iglhaut is known nationally and internationally as a speaker on oral implantology, periodontology,
plastic periodontal surgery, and periodontal microsurgery. He is a member of the faculty of APW/DGI
(Curricula Implantology, esthetic dentistry and restorative dentistry).
He is a member of numerous dental associations including the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry,
American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, American Academy of Periodontology, European Academy
of Osseointegration, German Association of Implantology (DGI), German Society for Periodontology
(DGP) and Neue Gruppe.
In 2004, he was elected Member of the Board, German Association of Oral Implantology (DGI) in
charge of continuing education and currently serves as the Association’s Vice President. Since 2005 he
has been teaching at Steinbeis University, Berlin, working with DGI for the Master of Science in
Implantology program. Since 2008, he has additionally been teaching at Georg August University,
Göttingen.

Le Dr. Iglhaut a étudié la médecine dentaire de 1977 à 1982 à l’Université Justus Liebig de Giessen. Il
a ensuite été collaborateur scientifique pendant trois ans dans le département de chirurgie orale de la
même université sous la direction du Prof. H. Kirschner; il a obtenu sa qualification en chirurgie orale
puis en implantologie (société allemande d’implantologie DGI); il est également spécialiste en
parodontologie (association dentaire européenne EDA) et est installé en cabinet privé à Memmingen
depuis 1987.
Le Dr. Iglhaut donne des conférences nationales et internationales dans le domaine de l’implantologie,
de la parodontologie, de la chirurgie parodontale plastique et de la microchirurgie parodontale; il fait
partie du corps enseignant de l’APW (académie pratique et scientifique)/DGI dans le cadre du cursus
d’implantologie, de dentisterie esthétique et d’odontologie conservatrice.
Il est membre de nombreuses organisations dentaires et notamment de l’académie américaine de
dentisterie esthétique, de l’académie américaine de dentisterie restauratrice, de l’académie américaine
de parodontologie, de l’académie européenne d’ostéo-intégration, de la société allemande
d’implantologie, de la société allemande de parodontologie et du nouveau groupe.
Il a été élu en 2004 au conseil d’administration de la société allemande d’implantologie (responsable
de la formation) et est actuellement vice-président de cette même société. Il est professeur à
l’Université Steinbeis de Berlin depuis 2005 en collaboration avec la DGI pour le « Master of Sciences
» d’implantologie; il est professeur à l’Université Georg-August de Göttingen depuis 2008.
